Car parking was free
Over priced, shower leaked, room didn’t feel clean. Beds were tiny doubles. Rooms didn’t feel
That clean and were dated. Breakfast was nice once we eventually found a
Staff member to get plates for us
Location and use of the indoor pool.
Got overcharged . Booked through bookings for £76 but the hotel charged us £100. Still hasn’t been sorted.
Great facilities. Very clean. Shower was very good.
Food took ages to arrive and staff had to be chased. When it arrived it was tasty enough but clearly pre made and reheated.
Location right off junction, ground to walk dogs, breakfast had variety, pool nice and warm, clean room
Lunch and evening meals were not nice, there were lots of complaints
Comfortable and good facilities
Quite near busy road
Good location
The aircon was broken across most of the hotel and the staff just dismissed it. Offering a free drink in return for paying a lot of money for a basic room with no aircon, which I had specifically booked the room for and a fan that was so dirty as an alternative, we got covered in dust when turning it on. There was also a Great Dane dog show at the site. So not only were we in what felt like a Sauna we also had Great Dane’s constantly barking in the room next door. I have no problem with dogs. Just maybe they should have put all the dogs in one part of the hotel. The key card also kept breaking, so I had the joys of the very unhelpful staff making you wait for around 15 minutes to reset it every time I returned from being out in the day. Worst hotel I have stayed in. Will never go back.
Location, air conditioning
Bar service is so slow, even with no one else there
Everything
Nothing
Clean, easy to get around. Nice pool, friendly staff. Breakfast was tasty!
Not much… it was value for money and it was as expected for the price.
Location for event I attended, clean and spacious
Aircon didn’t work and it’s very hot at the moment, price was horrendous
Food and service staff in restaurant both superb.
Air conditioning remains a problem in rooms which has now been the issue for too long and freely admitted by the staff.
Dirty/dusty fans left in room so turning them on filled room with dust deposits.
Bathroom cleanliness was mediocre
Lovely clean and I struggle with stairs and lifting and we had a lovely guy help us with suitcase
I did like it just a bit of distance to a shop
We always stay at The Holiday Inn when we go to Southampton to board our cruise. It breaks up the long journey. Great location, very peaceful, comfy beds and nice room. Also has ample parking plus the food is always great. Really good value too in my opinion.
On our latest visit they were holding a wedding reception which meant the staff were extremely busy. Unfortunately we had to wait longer than usual to order a meal as there was initially some confusion over which menu we could choose from as we were half board, plus the fact they had wedding guests to tend to. Eventually, later than we would have liked, our meal was served. Absolutely delicious. Can 100% recommend.
I would like to give a big shout out to Shereen who was initially working alone behind the bar juggling wedding guests and customers. She was absolutely amazing, super friendly and remained calm and in control even though she was being pulled a hundred different ways. She is an absolute credit to the place. She was back on duty bright and early the next morning and displayed the numerous qualities needed in the hospitality industry. Shereen definitely deserves recognition from her Manager, if all hospitality staff were like her it would be great!
I must also mention that the hotel Manager, in my opinion, did nothing to help the overworked staff. (Which included the reception staff as well as the bar) I saw him pick up a couple of glasses from outside and that was it. In my opinion you lead by example but as is often the case, the higher they go, the less they are in touch with reality.
Great stay as usual, little disappointed we weren’t advised at check in about the service delay due to the wedding (The Manager should have advised reception staff to mention it) but overall we had a very welcome evening meal and a great nights sleep. Note the Air con was not working but we were so exhausted it didn’t bother us too much.
We will be back.
Air con not working, no one mentioned this on our arrival. Two fans left in the room.
Nothing
Bed wasn’t prepared for children we asked twice and when we came back at midnight it still wasn’t done. The lady in reception didn’t even ask for our room number when we asked for bedding so the poor night shift lady had to come do the bed for us at midnight and finish the receptionists job for her.
Comfortable. Quiet. Convenient for the motorway.
Receptionist was unhelpful. There was no lift up to the first floor where my bedroom was. So I was unable to get my suitcase from my car to the room and had to unpack it in the car park. There were no porters.
