Property was clean and its location could not be better. All staff were friendly and very helpful.
Only small criticism is that the room I was in was a bit dated
Great location, comfortable bed, lovely staff
Nothing
Not much
Although it was 25C outside we arrived at the room to find the radiator on full. Asked for a fan but no luck. Went to have a shower but there was no curtain and the hose was only 2 feet long. Went downstairs to have some food at 8pm and was told kitchen was closed. Went into the bar to have drink and was told the bar was closing - this was 8:30 on a Saturday night!
Location and car park
Very small room, noisy fan outside window making noise all night, no fan in room, room very hot, bar closed
Everything, staff were friendly, food was really good , bed was very comfortable.
Nothing we liked everything.
Location
Mattress was very u comfortable and the hotel was dated.
The staff were wonderful. The location fantastic , but it's a bit dated , pillows were hard and the rooms old fashioned overall had a lovely time
The pillows
The location was very good for me as it is fairly close to the railway station. The Shower/Toilet room was spacious and clean.
The room was adequate, slightly dated but okay.
The reception was often closed, although someone would come if you pressed the bell. I rarely saw anybody around and anyone could just walk in and walk up the the stairs. I wasn't keen on the stairs because two of the corners were rounded giving rise to steps that went from wide to narrow, as in a spiral staircase. There was no lift in the hotel and all rooms are on the 1st and 2nd floors.
The hotel says that they have free Wi-Fi, by that I assume it's free because you can't connect to it. I asked twice about it and just got the reply that it is a bit temperamental! I never once managed to connect.
The windows were old sash windows and the paint was flaking and the gulls made a terrible row all through the night (not the hotel's fault).
I wasn't aware before I arrived that the hotel does not serve breakfast. They told me that the Meridian Cafe nextdoor does breakfast but that didn't open until 8.30. I wanted breakfast about 7.30 but I found Cafe 51 about 5 mins walk from the hotel - I can certainly recommend Cafe 51.
Nice hotel and staff
Expected to go next door for breakfast. I had just had surgery so not easy to walk and also it was raining heavily.
Was informed that full breakfast facilities wouldn’t be available however expected more than cereal and bread!! A disgrace for the room rate.
Location was good and it was clean
The toilet didn't flush properly, the bathroom sink taps didn't turn on properly, and there was no internet.
