Good for a tradition stay
Pros:

Great Breakfast, great Location - satisfactory for its age

Cons:

Stairway tight and awkward doors. Room could be a bit larger

Nice room, great pub.
Pros:

Room was comfy, warm and quiet. The pub downstairs was great, nice clientele, lovely beer on tap and friendly staff.

Breakfast was fine, i had to rush a bit as earliest it was available was 8:30 but what i had was nice.

Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend others to stay at this location
Pros:

A stunning room up a couple of flights of stairs. This room would rival a lot of hotels with high star ratings.

Cons:

Located in the middle of York, no parking available (which is understandable), the closest most secure parking is about a 700 m walk away… Not a problem for us just to consideration for others

Great stay. Brilliant location.
Pros:

Perfect location base. Two minutes walk into York centre. 15 mins walk from Train station. Comfy double bed although room we stopped in was quite small. Shower was powerful. Fan was a great welcome relief. Lovely staff and great pub, but no beer garden. Although they do not serve any food apart from breakfast from 8am - 9.30am for residents only.

Cons:

Stairs were steep. Breakfast was mediocre. Had to ask for loo roll twice as one roll was not enough for a three night stay. Rooms were very warm due to weather, still had winter bedding on.and had to prop the sash window open with a hairspray can.

Great Pub Rooms
Pros:

Had a very comfortable room (St Mary's Abbey) top of two flights of stairs - not good if you have mobility issues. Room very clean.The bed was comfortable and well furnished. Tea Coffee and BIscuits provided. Good shower and lots of towels. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff.

Value for money hotel, with friendly, helpful staff and in a good location for the theatre.
Pros:

I was only staying for one night, as I was going to the theatre, so the hotel was in a great location. All the staff I spoke to were really friendly and helpful, the room/bathroom were clean and the bed was really comfy. There was a good choice of menu at breakfast. I loved the themed rooms and would stay here again.

La ubicación.

Cons:

Habitación pequeña, daba a un patio interno sucio. El desayuno se sirve de 9 a 9.30 así que uno de los dos días no lo pude tomar porque mí tren salía a las 8.30.
