Location
Music blasting below the rooms in the bar until very late
Lovely family room
Loud loud loud, karaoke on till 2 in the morning, had to wait ages at the bar to check in amongst rude and threatening locals who made me and my friend feel unsafe as 2 young women staying at the pub. Rooms were big standard, clean and for one night passable
It was in the middle of town near to everything. Clean and comfortable
They didn’t do breakfast
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious and clean.
There needed to be more storage, ie drawers.
Location
We should’ve stayed two nights but left after one. I got 10% off the full price being at genius level and still feel it was overpriced. The room on first sight looked ok but it could do with a thorough clean. We didn’t realise until the morning when the cover on the bed had fallen off that there was a stain on the duvet cover, I tried to clean it but it wouldn’t come off. That put us off completely. On booking.com it says room only which was fair enough but looking on their website it says does full English breakfast and an advert for a new menu starting in May.
We were told on arrival they no longer did food. Paper cups for making tea/coffee.
Location and parking
Norrow soft bed, noise from the bar
It was available on the dates I needed. Centre on town. Bed nice and firm. Bathroom ok.
No soundproofing between the pub and the accommodation so it was noisy. Unfortunately the Friday night had karaoke right underneath our bedroom and it went on beyond 11pm. The next evening had football on late and the tv was on at a really high volume despite there only being a handful of people in the pub.
Decor a bit tired and sofa seat ripped. Bit shabby.
Would’ve been tolerable for a night perhaps but seemed quite pricey for the state of the accommodation.
Great staff
Shower poor
room definitely needs a freshen up decoration wise
