I do not like small rooms but it was a last minute booking during peak days and I was pleased with the room29 they had placed me in just that I’m more into bigger spaces like room 1 and room 6.

A Night in Kathu
Pros:

The staff were lovely and the breakfast great. The room was comfortable, clean and warm which was all we needed for a single overnight. The restaurant is permanently closed (except for breakfast) so we are at the golf club's Deck Restaurant and the food was good - though the seating was outside a d it was a 'bit chilly'!

Cons:

The town of Kathu itself was built for the iron ore mine so we didn't expect much and our expectations were realised!

Not a great stay.
Cons:

The bed was so old and worn we both landed up sleeping in the middle on top.of each other. The door to.our room was extremely difficult to open. The bathroom door did not close. No maintenance..
Our neighbors played the TV so loud until 2am but I couldn't go out as I struggled to open the door. Nightmare night.

The breakfast was excellent, however there is a need to make it complete buffet and increase costs thereof. We went to eat breakfast immediately after we left, hence our guests were not full
