The staff makes this hotel.
Pros:

The room we were eventually given was excellent. The location is excellent, and the breakfast was very good. The fellow overseeing the breakfast was very accommodating

Cons:

The original room that we were given, a superior room, was a joke. It looked like the hotel had run out of furniture. One room had a hanging TV and nothing else....no chair, no bed, nothing. Everything else was perfect, as was the staff, except the insistence that we leave the breakfast area when the breakfast time ended. We understand that no further food will be served, but we have never been asked to leave a breakfast area.....and we travel a month every year in Europe.....and have done this for 23 years.

Sehr schöner und angenehmer Aufenthalt.
Pros:

Die Lage am Rande des historischen Stadtzentrums. Das Hotel ist ein klassisches Stadthotel. Es entspricht ganz unseren Bedürfnissen. Das Personal ist entgegenkommend und hat uns weitergeholfen.

Cons:

Meine Matratze war bereits ein wenig durchgelegen.

Chambre dont le ménage laisse à désirer (poussière sur les tablettes et tables de nuit et sol pas propre)
Mini frigo qui ne fonctionnait pas
Balayette à WC cassée
Ascenseur bloqué le matin pour le service de chambre donc obligé de descendre les bagages à la main dans les escaliers en pleine heure de départ des clients

A very good hotel made even better by its front of house staff.
Pros:

Hotel Moderno is a very comfortable, clean and welcoming hotel within a very short distance from the train station. The deluxe room was very comfortable with a spacious bathroom. The towels and bedding were of a very good quality.
The breakfast was good and it was nice to be offered scrambled egg with toast. The attendant in the breakfast room was very attentive and pleasant. The receptionist on our arrival was very welcoming and friendly. Later on the day of our arrival she tried to assist with a problem we had with Europcar. Her help was really appreciated. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Cons:

The only thing I didn’t like (and this is a minor complaint) was the front access - it is a revolving door which is quite tight.

Für Besuch in Pavia gut geeignet
Pros:

Lage zur Altstadt sehr gut. Unmittelbar auch am Bahnhof. Dennoch relativ ruhige Allee. Parkplatz kein Problem und sehr kostengünstig Sehr freundliches hilfsbereites Personal. Nette Hotelbar. Zimmer ok, aber auch nicht sehr groß.

Cons:

Alles ok, nur Frühstück. -in Italien aber nicht unüblich- hätte besseres Angebot haben können.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt, zentral und praktisch
Pros:

Für einen Stadtbesuch sehr gut gelegenes Hotel. Direkt am Bahnhof, unser Zimmer war hinten hinaus auf den Hof und daher recht ruhig. Uns war es wohl im Haus, gutes Frühstück mit z.B. Eierspeisen frisch nach Wunsch. Wir würden wieder hier buchen.

Cons:

colazione con poco assortimento di pane , manca un tostapane e la possibilità di prepararsi il caffe in sala . Eravamo in pochi ospiti e bisognava chiedere al incaricato del servizio (ragazzo volenteroso) ogni volta che si voleva un caffe, latte caldo, pane tostato e l'attesa non era indifferente.
