Don't expect to sleep on a Friday or Saturday night, music is blaring.
It was clean, staff were helpful and the meal at the pub was good.
Small, cramped and only 1 heavy doona which was much too hot for the weather when a light one was needed.
Comfortable bed and hot shower, had plenty of tea and coffee and UHT milks, had shampoo conditioner and bar soaps.
Dinner was good from downstairs. Smart TV was a good size with a clean picture.
Water went everywhere in the ensuite bathrooms, towels very small, unfortunately for the room right about the live music, bar fridge was off and smelt really bad. Turned it on and was noisy. Room's a lot smaller than photos show and toilet had no lid and only towel rack was right above it.
Own bathroom was good.
The king size bed was a nuisance. Left no room to move. A queen would have been more than adequate. The main door wouldn't close properly as the hinges were loose. The toilet seat kept moving as it too was loose. A bit of maintenance needed. PLEASE get rid of the king bed.
Welcoming & very helpful staff. We'll positioned in town close to everything.
Noise from bar muso might be unsettling for some. I suggest those seek a room away from the bar.
Room was very clean and appointed. Bed was extremely comfortable
The ensuite was functional but extremely poor.
I did miss not having a hairdryer..
Staircase was steep and poorly lit.
Would have like to be warned of the staircase
The meals from the Bistro were great value , tasty , and served in a timely manner
The fact that the King size bed was literally jammed against a wall and was way too soft making it very difficult for the second person to get in and out of, The bedding and pillows though were definitely quality, There was only one small chair in the room and thus nowhere for 2 people to sit, We felt the room could have been much more comfortable set up with 2 single beds (even tho our preference would be for a double
Bed was comfortable and shower was good
Bed against the wall
The staff went above and beyond to look after us and the location was really close to supermarket and shops
Confidently located in town. Rooms looked newly renovated.
A bit noisy as it’s above a pub. Tiny bathroom with no shower screen. So when you shower the water goes everywhere. No desk, iron or hair dryer which makes a difference if your traveling for work.
A simple but pleasant and comfortable room, perfect for an overnight stopover between the rail-link coach and train down to Coffs Harbour next morning. The hotel was an easy walk from the station (even with a backpack and a duffle bag) and I had no concerns about safety, even on a Saturday night.
Casino is a bit hotter and more humid than the coastal towns, so the AC was welcome.
This is an old hotel that has been renovated very nicely, and a corner of the original large room has been walled off to make a nice little ensuite bathroom - which was small but perfectly adequate.
There is a small bar fridge and an electric jug with tea and coffee facilities, which was very welcome.
I also appreciated the bistro downstairs (and there are other alternative places to eat down the road, if you want to venture out) where the food is quite decent and you can have a glass of wine or whatever with your meal.
This is an old building without much in the way of sound insulation, and it was a Saturday night in a pub, so the customers downstairs were having a rather boisterous time, and while the upstairs area is partitioned off, the noise carries. However, it was good 70s music, and the pub noise did stop sometime between 10 pm and midnight, and after that it was very quiet... apart from a bit of compressor noise coming on and off during the night.
However, I had a good night's sleep in a comfy bed with a lovely hot shower, and the noise was not really much of a problem for me for one night's stay.
Comfortable beds
Clean

Will stay again
