A good stopover on our way to Scotland, not far from the M6 but in a quiet location a d with a good restaurant
Pros:

Very close to the M6 but in a quiet location
Good restaurant

Cons:

No paper handkerchief tissues in the room or bathroom.
No luggage rack for our case
No lamp standard by the table and chairs so light was not bright enough to read sitting on one of the chairs

Excellent hotel, perfectly located, will stay again and would highly recommend.
Pros:

The staff on reception were great, lovely and welcoming and helped my husband sort out the electronic charging point- really above and beyond.

Cons:

They could have used another member of staff at breakfast as it took some time (again, lovely staff doing their best). Perhaps it was a one-off but if not then it might be worth getting some more help during busy times.

Lovely hotel in very pretty location
Pros:

Arrived here after a very wet day on the coast to coast hike . Lovely location and friendly staff.’ The room was cosy and comfortable and just what I needed after a long day . My dog was made very welcome

Pros:

Good location and all clean

Cons:

There was no welcome from the receptionist. I felt I was a bother. TV only had 3 channels not acceptable in this day and age but didn’t want to face the receptionist again to complain!! Breakfast was good and checkout staff were polite.

Pros:

Nice bar and restaurant area with pleasant views.
Staff were friendly.
Room was spacious and comfortable.

Cons:

Rooms although good are a little tired in places and could use a bit of TLC.
Restaurant food is good but a tad pricey.

Pros:

Over heard difficult diners moaning and complaining and trying to order “off menu” classic moaners … nothing right. The staff managed to handle them politely and efficiently defusing any potential “situation”

Cons:

Tipping arrangement on paying by card should be dropped.
Best to tip by cash / but not as an option on the card machine.

Very Clean, good location, easy to find and access. Like the cosy bar to unwind in after a long drive.
