Fantastic stop-off hotel
Pros:

Very comfortable and large bed and room.
Great views.
Cosy lounge.
Lovely walks around the hotel to Orton and Tebay.
Great facilities- plenty of charging points for EVs.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Restaurant serves delicious food in evenings with great varied choices.
Fantastic breakfast- plenty of choice.
A short walk to the Farm Shop.

Our second stay and we’d definitely come back.
Pros:

Excellent location and beautiful surroundings. Spotless room and bedding and friendly staff. Restaurant dinner was first class.

Fantastic hotel
Pros:

Room was large with good views. Bed was very large and extremely comfortable.
Staff were very friendly and very helpful.
Dinner menu was excellent. Great food and drinks.
Delicious breakfast.

A good stopover on our way to Scotland, not far from the M6 but in a quiet location a d with a good restaurant
Pros:

Very close to the M6 but in a quiet location
Good restaurant

Cons:

No paper handkerchief tissues in the room or bathroom.
No luggage rack for our case
No lamp standard by the table and chairs so light was not bright enough to read sitting on one of the chairs

Excellent hotel, perfectly located, will stay again and would highly recommend.
Pros:

The staff on reception were great, lovely and welcoming and helped my husband sort out the electronic charging point- really above and beyond.

Cons:

They could have used another member of staff at breakfast as it took some time (again, lovely staff doing their best). Perhaps it was a one-off but if not then it might be worth getting some more help during busy times.

Lovely hotel in very pretty location
Pros:

Arrived here after a very wet day on the coast to coast hike . Lovely location and friendly staff.’ The room was cosy and comfortable and just what I needed after a long day . My dog was made very welcome

Just acceptable, used to be a better standard
Pros:

Good location and all clean

Cons:

There was no welcome from the receptionist. I felt I was a bother. TV only had 3 channels not acceptable in this day and age but didn’t want to face the receptionist again to complain!! Breakfast was good and checkout staff were polite.
