Beautiful property with loads of character. Peaceful surroundings and beautiful views. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room had an old fashioned charm. Restaurant served lovely meals and great cappuccinos.
Nothing
They said they were overbooked and phoned me when I was on my way and I was stranded.
Fireplace in Room
Food in Restaurant was of high qualiry
The head of the shower was a bit low
Great staff - everyone was happy and helpful.
Beds were uncomfortable, no hot bath water, cheap coffee and tea in rooms, no water to drink in room.
The manager Robyn was so friendly and helpful
Nice cosy country feeling
No WIFI or internet in room. They decided to cut the tree and clean the roof of our apart, ment on afternoon of our arrival which was very disturbing and noisy.
The location, staff and the room itself were superb. The food and overall atmosphere were great
There is no fridge in the room and therefore keeping drinks cold when one wanted to sit on your porch with a drink and take in the beautiful view was not possible. You need to walk to the main building, order cold drinks and walk back the the room. Not practical. We eventually purchased a cooler-box and filled it with ice. Our room was set away from the main building. The wifi did not extend to the room itself. Connection was only possible in the main building itself.
Breakfast and dinner were superb, great ambiance and service, friendly and courteous.
Beautiful surroundings. Old historical building... Close howick.
Very Comfortable beds.
Food was exceptional
Bathroom windows never closed properly.
I'm used to full security. In Africa I don't take any chances.
Good food in a lovely historic sandstone building. Dining room staff could have been a little more attentative. Room is huge, probably too big for our needs. Beautiful views into the valley and hills in the distance.
Everything about the place is a little dated. With a small budget and a little imagination, it could be restored quickly to a desired destination.
The entire experience at Old Halliwell was fantastic
