Great location and a quick walk down the hill takes you right into the town centre. To the side of the hotel is the path to take you up to the Cow and Calf rocks. Fantastic view from there.
Lovely friendly reception staff. We arrived half an hour early and our room was ready.
Excellent sized room..... Standard double........ Very clean and comfy. Although no air conditioning, a fan was provided.
Love the fact that there was a safe in room too.

Nothing to dislike. Yes there may be a bit of paint required here and there - but you are stopping in a beautiful old house.
The hotel was very welcoming, the staff very friendly. It was also very clean. I was made guest of the day which came with benefits and was a very nice touch.
The breakfast was adequate but there could have been more choice. The hotel was at the top of a hill but that wasn’t a problem as it was in a very good location.

Wonderful building, very dedicated staff, lovely room, good beds, clean and very nice bathroom, convenient and quiet location where we would have loved to stay longer, but only stayed one night to start off our walking holiday in the Yorkshire Dales.
Breakfast was not included in what we booked because it was cheaper to get something from the local supermarket. However, this was our own choice and no real issue.
