Pros:

Staff members were very nice, room and bathrooms were clean, location was good, there was a bit loud music for the event they had in the building, but it stopped by 11pm so it wasn’t a problem for me at all.

Great location for walking to cow and calf and into town in the evening for drinks

Great hotel
Pros:

View from room was amazing
Good size room with sofa
Supplied dog bed and bowl which was appreciated
Good breakfast selection in bar area as dog owners were kept separate, fine with us

Cons:

The room was the furthest possible from entrance which could have been difficult if dog needed quick exit

Loved the location and the staff.

Cons:

On this occasion we found the mattress way to soft. On our previous stay the mattress was a lot more firm.

Very bad experience. Will not recommend this hotel to anyone

Only locations suitable for us.

Cons:

We were given a room with strong odour of paint, it was not habitable. We could not sleep in the room. Had called Manager to explain him the issue - he agreed the room smelled of paint but was rude & did not give alternate room. We opened window for ventilation & sat in the lounge until 1am midnight

Friendly and you get what is expected from an old characterful property.
Pros:

The hotel is full of character
The staff very helpful
Bar well stocked and good prices

Cons:

Our only moan was the set up of the bedroom
Only one bedside table and slightly off set to the tv
Realised why as sockets not positioned in accordance with furniture.
The bathroom modern and clean the bedroom although very clean needs a little update but these are just small things and certainly don’t distract from our lovely stay here.

I always regret leaving!
Pros:

I visit Ilkley every year and look forward to staying at Craiglands. The rooms are spacious, the staff very friendly and I love the heated towel rack because it dries tights and smalls over night so I can travel lightly. I have not eaten there because I am always visiting friends, but I hear that the food is excellent! I highly recommend it! It has far more charm than "new" hotels with cookie cutter rooms and the grounds are pretty.

Cons:

I can't think of a thing that needs improving!
