Great small town feel. Loved the authenticity.
Pros:

Pros:

Sehr freundlicher Empfang, insgesamt aufmerksames Personal, tolles Frühstück a la carte, historisches Gebäude direkt in der Altstadt, lebhaft, aber nach hinten ruhig.

Cons:

Keine Kritik, nur ein Hinweis: Bei Ankunft darf man den Wagen langsam durch eine eigentlich autofreie Zone bis zum Hotel fahren und entladen, Parken kann man im Parkhaus 4, ca 500 Meter entfernt. Für die ganze Altstadt Lindau gilt ein Parkverbot für Ortsfremde.

Super Location mitten in der Altstadt von Lindau. Tolle Kombination von neu und alt. 2013 renoviert, besticht durch viele liebevolle Details. Der absolute Hit: die Dachterasse mit dem gigantischen Blick über die Dächer von Lindau. Mega Frühstück, sehr nette Mitarbeiter innen.
Eigene Gaststätte mit bayerischen Spezialitäten und Gemütlichkeit. Rundum in sich stimmiges Konzept.

Fijne bedden en een heerlijk ontbijt. Het ontbijt was op aanvraag, wat ik een duurzame manier vindt. Ligging midden in het centrum. Kamer was erg klein en warm, maar dat was van tevoren bekend gemaakt.

Ligging in de binnenstad. De authentieke uitstraling. En het terras. Hotel heeft ook een restaurant.

Cons:

De warmte in de hotelkamer onder het dak en de schuine kanten waardoor je vaak je hoofd stootte.

Fantastic stay in the heart of Lindau!
We stayed at Hotel Engel on Lindau Island and absolutely loved it. The location is fantastic — just off the main street and within easy walking distance of everything Lindau has to offer.
From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome. Felix greeted us with a welcome drink — freshly tapped beer and local wine — which we enjoyed on the beautiful rooftop terrace. What a perfect way to start our stay!
Our room was neat, tidy and had everything we needed. The breakfast was also amazing, with a great selection and the perfect way to start the day.
Felix was an amazing host and went out of his way to help us with advice and recommendations on places to visit and things to see.
Great location, wonderful hospitality, amazing breakfast and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Hotel Engel to anyone visiting Lindau!

Hôtel en plein cœur de la ville avec du charme
Pros:

La localisation, le charme d’un petit hôtel de taille humaine,et le petit déjeuner
Choix la veille pour éviter le gaspillage très bonne idée

Cons:

La chaleur dans les chambres en période de chaleur importante peu de moyen de baisser celle ci car une fenêtre et pas de courant d air donc
À noter le parking ,e plus proche est le P4
le P5 conseillé sur booking est fermé

Zeer gastvrij op zo’n mooie plek

De locatie op het schiereiland op zeer korte afstand van de Bodensee met de heerlijke terrasjes was fantastisch!
We zijn super hartelijk ontvangen door alle personen die we ontmoet hebben bij de receptie en in het restaurant.
Het restaurant serveert zulk lekker eten!!! Ik had een lekkere risotto met struisvogelbiefstuk. Heerlijk!
En voor het ontbijt kregen we alles aan tafel geserveerd. Vooraf een lijstje met wensen ingevuld.

Cons:

Geen airco tijdens de hittegolf van juni 2026. Het was serieus warm in de kamer. Douchen zonder de halve badkamer nat te maken is bijna onmogelijk.
De prijs van de overnachting had van mij daarom enkele tientjes minder mogen zijn. Het was ruim 200,-

Super welcoming and friendly people
Pros:

Breakfast was amazing. Beautiful old building yet still very comfortable. Exceptional staff who were very helpful. We enjoyed sitting on the roof top terrace at the end of the day watching the sunset.

Cons:

Quite warm in the heatwave, however fans were provided.
