A good base.
Pros:

Friendly welcome from Mark when we arrived. The room was adequate, a lot of diy was evident. Beds comfortable. Plenty of choice for breakfast and the lady who served us was also friendly and chatty.

Cons:

Quite noisy on Saturday night.

Pros:

Nice old property.

Cons:

Communal areas looked tired. Needs an uplift.
Also the shower in our room was REALLY hard to switch on and off.

Overall I really enjoyed my stay. My room was a bit dusty as could be seen on the skirting etc.
Pros:

Comfortable bed. Great location and the breakfast was very nice, although 1 slice of toast and 1 pat of butter and 1 cup of coffee were a bit stingy. I couldn't fault the cooked breakfast though.

Cons:

I'd have preferred to be asked if I wanted any more of the above.
