Ideal location for where we needed. Had a beautiful view from the room. Our room was really nice with an en suite. The bed was comfortable.
Breakfast was really nice with a good choice. Cooked to order.
The car park was small but we were allowed to double park behind the owner. Which was nice.
Great location just outside town, beautiful building with a cool bar & terrace with amazing views.....highly recommended
They should probably service the rooms every day when staying for more than one day....
The staff were friendly, helpful and of good humour ( eggs Benedict)🤣. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were amazing. The prices in the bar were reasonable.
Ceiling was in poor repair above the shower . Other Ear of the hotel would benefit from a little old.
The room was good, but could have been cleaner eg. mould in the shower.
The greeting at breakfast could have been better i.e. an explanation of what there was and who would serve it. For the price one would expect some fresh fruit or fruit of some type. I didn't complain, but the help yourself coffee was only luke warm. Although we did not want any toast, non was offered and I don't recollect seeing anyone having toast.
The breakfast was good. Our room was large and clean. Plenty o9f tea/coffee available.
Staff behind bar were pleasant. Not far from centre of the town.
Door to a rear staircase standing open next morning for ages.
Lots of stuff piled in there and a damp smell. It was not a major drama though.
Room was very comfortable and had shower gel/hand wash dispensers which were stocked up, good selection of different teas and normal/decaf coffee sachets and biscuits. Breakfast was nice and well presented.
It is a pub and there was a lot of noise until the pub closed. Not a negative for us as we took earplugs anyway.
Car park exceptionally busy, nearest over night parking was the market place about 5 mins walk away as theres no restrictions on a Sunday mon to sat theres restrictions of 30 mins stop time between 8 30 and either 5 or 6pm.
Location, the cooked breakfast was good as cooked to order.
Mold in the bathroom (in the shower cubicle)
I love that it wasn’t modern and has a lot of character and charm. It was a short 5 minute walk from the train station and easy to find. It was also a short walk to the many independent shops.
The breakfast was amazing and made to order.
Nothing
Great bar, friendly staff & nice rooms
Seems like it’s just been refurbished, with a few bits to be finished off
A bit tight on parking spaces
With great Transport links I loved everything about The Mount B&B.
Debbie was so Warm, Welcoming and Helpful. My room even though a Single was Big,Clean,Light and Airy.
All staff were lovely, nothing was too much.Even when my TV remote wasn't working Lewis kindly fixed it.
The Breakfast was lovely and there was a good choice, great value for money.I will definitely be back.🙂
Very noisy traffic wise, but to be expected as it's on a main route through Malton.
Breakfast was good
Noise from bar kept us awake. Room was very hot/stifling no fans so a terrible nights sleep. Room wasn't very clean and decor needed work. Very shabby. Had booked for two nights but prospect of staying another night made us leave early.
We could self check in early which was very handy as we could then leave our bags after getting off the train. The room was spacious, with a good choice of tea/coffee. Breakfast was fine. Very close to the town centre.
Cleanliness could be improved. The grout in the shower was black with mould and there was dust on the wall behind the cabinets. The tv was very small. Disappointing and surprising that no alternative to cow's milk was offered at breakfast, as apparently "nobody asks for it". It is very easy these days to buy large packs of oat milk sachets, which last for months. I'm sure many people would appreciate it so that they can have a cup of tea and /or cereal with their breakfast, despite being lactose intolerant. A little expensive for the services offered.
