For short stay perfect and close to town
Pros:

A nice welcome from owner though basic room it was clean bed comfortable and felt safe. Cooked breakfast was satisfactory though menu minimal. Lovely building

The whole of Malton looks rundown not just the hotel, sad to say.
Pros:

Breakfast was good, service was fast. No sausage or black pudding waiting for butcher to deliver. Extra bacon to compensate.

Cons:

Nobody to great you, no reception. Shortage of t. roll, no tea bags, room needed better cleaning especially in corners. Might be fine if you like spiders. Shower tray overflowed.

I would definitely stay again if in the area.,
Pros:

The breakfast was excellent, all cooked fresh to order. Hot tea and coffee readily available, with plenty of cereal, toast and yogurt available.
Fantastic hotel, great drink selection behind the bar, live sports on TV and very accommodating staff.
Rooms clean and well presented, with good selection of hot drinks ready to make in room, plus biscuits.

Cons:

Nothing, excellent stay and would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area.

Pros:

Great location. Pleasant room. Large bathroom and hot shower. Matching bedroom furniture. Nice bar area. Staff were helpful. Parking on site.

Cons:

Breakfast doesn't start while 8am so I had to miss it to get to work.
Bar closed very early which was a shame. One of the pillows was very lumpy.
