The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The dining room staff were especially attentive and pleasant, even more so than the front desk team. The Levantine restaurant on the ground floor is a must-try! Housekeeping comes daily, and the cleaning service is generally very good as well.
The carpets in the rooms are old, stained, and in urgent need of replacement. This is not the housekeeping staff’s fault, the carpets are simply worn out. When they are replaced, a darker colour may be a better choice, as it would show stains less easily. The ground floor is also consistently too cold. I understand that the weather outside is hot, but the indoor temperature could be kept at a more comfortable level. There are very few suitable places to sit and work. The lobby has only one practical workspace, and the dining room closes after lunch. If you do not enjoy working from your room, it may be better to find a nearby cafe, as the hotel is not particularly work-friendly. During my stay, someone moved into the room directly above mine and spoke loudly or argued throughout the night. The noise kept me awake until around 7:00 a.m., making it one of the worst nights I have experienced at a hotel.

The room was comfortable and the swimming pool with a helpful attendant was very nice. All in all, good value with local shops nearby.
The Hotel needs to be more sensitive to local customs and culture!! For example, after a long journey and feeling very tired on arrival, the lobby is playing loud western music ....why?? Also, in all the lifts they are advertising kareoke on video screens with INAPPROPRIATE images !! Why? This is Oman !
