Short getaway, nice recharge
Pros:

Very welcoming and polite staff, especially Melan who processed check-in. My room was very spacious and clean, I loved the separate shower and bathtub. Also, the walk-in wardrobe is something you don't see in many hotels. The location of the hotel is also another plus point. So near the Harbour Bay ferry terminal, you can literally just walk over easily. Around the vicinity are also many eateries and spa centres to keep your stay occupied. With the provided free shuttle service to the new K Square Mall, I definitely will consider staying here again.

Cons:

Breakfast spread is good, except for the Western cuisine area. More variety is more welcomed.

The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Cons:

This hotel stay was a very unpleasant experience. We thought it was a branded hotel, and although it might be a bit dated, we expected it to be well-maintained. However, we were deeply disappointed after check-in. Some of the facilities in the room were broken, the bathroom faucet fell off, and the towels were worn and old. That said, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Still, we were extremely disappointed overall.

Disappointing Stay – Poor Housekeeping and Check-in Experience

I booked this hotel two weeks in advance, specifically requesting a Large Double Bed room and an early check-in between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM. The hotel confirmed my reservation but mentioned that early check-in was subject to room availability, which I understood.

However, I arrived at the hotel at 3:20 PM, well after the official check-in time of 2:00 PM, and there was still a long queue at reception. The check-in process was extremely slow.

When it was finally my turn, I was informed that my Large Double Bed room was not ready and that only Twin Bed rooms were available. I was asked to wait while they checked with housekeeping. After waiting 20 minutes, I asked for an update, but the response was still, "We are waiting for housekeeping." After another 30 minutes, I received the same answer.

It is very disappointing that even after 4:00 PM, my room was still not ready despite the official check-in time being 2:00 PM. I was finally given my room at 4:10 PM, after waiting for almost 50 minutes, with only a brief apology.

Unfortunately, the disappointment continued after entering the room. The entire 8th-floor corridor had a stale, musty smell, and the room itself had the same unpleasant odor. I had to keep the air conditioner and windows open for around 15–20 minutes before the smell improved, which made me question whether the room had been properly cleaned before my arrival.

The cleanliness was below expectations:

Bed sheets had visible stains.
Pillowcases looked old and not properly cleaned.
Towels appeared very old, with stains and signs of heavy use.
The toilet had long-term stains, making it look unhygienic.
Toothbrushes were simply placed beside the washbasin, and no cotton buds (earbuds) were provided.
Only one coffee cup was provided, even though the room was booked for two guests.
