Grand for an island stay
Pros:

Grand location, view was of the "main street". Was told it was an sea view, maybe if you stood on your tipytoes, caught a reflection off a window, then you might see some blue.

Cons:

Not cleaned daily. Some noise early every morning, don't know if it was a tv blaring or some public announcement but it was early, loud and annoying.

Salle de bain vétuste. L'eau est tout juste ce haude, clim en panne, ventilateur ne marche plus qu'en fixe et la chasse d'eau coule tout le temps.

Pros:

L'emplacement et la vue était vraiement bien , La taille de la chambre etait royale
La gentillese du Monsieur plus âgé a l'accueil est incroyable!!!

Cons:

Sévices de linge: mon linge est revenu avec plein de tâche, un des t shirt a tellement rétrécis que il peut etre porte par un enfant , certain vetement sentais encore "porté"

2 de mes 3 chargeur qui etaient branché on disparu apres le nettoyage de ma chambre

10/10 would procrastinate leaving again.
Pros:

Pros:

Ngl, was kinda skeptical cozi got it for super cheap, but main room was clean AF & loc was super handy. Staff helped us book the Lan Ha Bay tour in like 2 mins flat. Decent breakfast too!

The receptionist greeted us with a genuine smile and checked us into a high-floor room. Walking into the room, the first thing that caught our eye was the expansive balcony overlooking the bay. Watching the fishing boats gently move across the water while the sun went down instantly lifted our fatigue.
Over our three-day stay, the staff went above and beyond. When it rained unexpectedly on our second morning, they lent us umbrellas and pointed us toward a charming indoor café nearby. The daily breakfast - simple warm baguettes, perfectly fried eggs, and strong Vietnamese coffee - was served with such warmth. Everything from the clean linens to the central location made exploring Cat Ba completely stress-free. It wasn't just a place to sleep; it was the highlight of our trip.

We arrived in Cat Ba after a grueling 6-hour ride on a rainy evening, feeling completely drained. To make matters worse, I accidentally left my small pouch with my camera accessories on the bus. Flustered, we explained our situation at the front desk.
The staff immediately stepped in - making phone calls to local transport contacts while offering us warm coffee and checking us in without any delay. Within forty-five minutes, they had somehow tracked down the driver and retrieved my gear!
Beyond their incredible hospitality, the room was remarkably clean and comfortable with a lovely ocean breeze. Having breakfast on the terrace the next morning - hot egg baguettes and rich local coffee - turned what started as a stressful trip into one of our fondest memories in Vietnam. We can't thank the team enough!
