Good choice
Bath /shower no shower screen , bath small difficulty getting in and out . Also standing up in the bath was difficult as roof sloping . Could have done with taps at the other end and a shower screen needed.
Breakfast was excellent staff very nice helpful
Room was comfortable and well-equipped but we were in the annexe 3 doors down (which we didn't know until the booking was confirmed and we had paid the deposit) overlooking the owner's scruffy back garden complete with laundry on the line which remained for the whole of our stay. Couldn't move the car because of parking issues. Breakfast was OK and the staff were friendly. More of a B and B than a hotel.

Everything , the room was lovely and clean. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, the breakfast was delicious.
Staff were very friendly, accommodating and food was very high standard. Dawn was really helpful during our stay and I remembered her name as we share the same name! We booked on the weekend of the heatwave so our choice of room in the attic was not ideal due to temperatures. The views however are amazing up there! Everything was explained to us on arrival regarding times for breakfast etc and due to my specific diet this was catered for. We managed to park on the driveway which was ideal too.
May of been good to have a fan in the room or a sign on the reception desk to say if you require a fan please ask. Our arrival day was exceptionally hot. May of been ideal to have USB plugs in the walls for charging devices. More choices of milk needed for those intolerant to cows milk such as the usual oat milk etc. I did ask before hand and was offered Soya only so brought my own which was kindly kept in the fridge for my breakfast.
Whitby in general. Loved the hotel friendly staff, beautiful breakfast. Sea view from the bedroom. Fantastic week-end away
