If you want to stay just a stone's throw from the UNESCO-listed Durbar Square in Patan and immerse yourself in authentic Nepali life, the Karuna Hotel is an excellent choice. Situated among local homes, the hotel places you right in the midst of daily life - children heading to school, women going to the market, and morning prayers at the temple. The hotel and its rooms are well-equipped and spotless. Breakfast is prepared in an adjacent building under the same ownership - which also offers apartments for rent - though, in my opinion, having the service provided directly within the hotel itself would be preferable. A real highlight is the reception staff: always very kind, highly professional, and ready to assist with any need. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was freshly prepared, I was impressed with the value for money. Location was the best part. It’s located right next to the patan durbar square. Right in between the locals residence. Hotel’s staff were so friendly and polite. Hotel’s interior felt so cozy and cute.

Personal super amable, todas las chicas que nos atendieron fueron muy simpáticas y agradables. Buena relación calidad-precio, está muy bien para estancias cortas. Muy buen desayuno, que también estaba incluido en el precio. Estaba limpio.
Solo mencionar que si vas con mucho equipaje como nosotros, puede ser un poco incómodo. Aunque la chica nos ayudó a subir el equipaje, teníamos bastante equipaje y tuvimos que subir tres plantas sin ascensor.
Très bel hôtel refait à neuf récemment dans un bel immeuble ancien, dans une petite ruelle au calme à quelques pas du Durbar square.
Les chambres sont très confortables et décorées avec goût, la salle de bain est moderne et comprend même une paroi de douche. Les femmes de l’accueil et qui s’occupent du petit déjeuner étaient attentionnées, toujours de bonne humeur et contentes de pouvoir discuter. Elles ont largement contribué à ce qu’on étende notre séjour au sein de l’hôtel.
Nous avons eu une expérience luxueuse pour un prix imbattable, on y retournera sans hésiter !

It was a great experience, so near to the Durbar Square! Loved the bed, interior and the location. A place that I will come back to again and would definitely recommend this place.
The location is very close to Patan Durbar Square, which makes it perfect if you enjoy walking around and exploring the area. It is within about 300 meters walking distance, so very convenient. At the same time, it is slightly away from the busiest area, so it feels a bit quieter, which I appreciated.
The only small challenge was finding it for the first time, as the streets in Patan are small alleys and can be a bit confusing to navigate initially
Charging devices was extremely slow, much slower compared to other places I stayed in, even cafés in the same area. It took a very long time to fully charge my phone. I think this is due to old or unstable electrical wiring.
In addition, some of the sockets were quite loose, which made plugging in devices a bit inconvenient and unreliable
The staff is great! I requested a shuttle service from where I was staying in Kirthipur on the same day and they agreed straight away with the pick up in a professional and kind manner. Everyone was super helpful, they helped me find a place to buy a SIM card and a laundry. Very well located, it was really great stay!

Location was very close to Patan Durbar Square which we really enjoyed visiting! The rooms were large and clean for a heritage hotel. Beds were comfortable. The staff members we dealt with were incredibly nice and helpful in arranging an early morning check-out and taxis for us.
We thought we would stay in the main building, but we stayed in different side building. The balcony opened to a small, unkempt alley. This was somewhat misleading.

Die Lage in Patan ist hervorragend - man erreicht alles in wenigen Minuten.
Die Zimmer sind sauber und normal eingerichtet. Das Bett und die Matratze war super komfortabel.
