Luxury and class
Pros:

Super luxurious, looked new , elegant and amazing. Restaurants and spa were excellent. Hotel staff were so helpful and friendly . Srishti at the front desk especially made our first impression and checkin process so nice.

Great location ..... Incredibly warm and courteous staff .... good room size and amenities ....

Cons:

The Taj Coromandel was once a hotel with incredible character ....that literally was once upon a time ....

What we have now is a cut-and-paste of countless hotels from across India and the world.

The venerable bar - Fort St. George is now a bland replica of a once trendy-looking bar. The formerly grand Tanjore is now a clichéd Southern Spice - full of faux pillars and faux pretensions!

The breakfast buffet, once a grand indulgent affair is now a drying out and insipid mish-mash of the usual suspects .... doesn't reflect Taj's great culinary pedigree ...SUCH A PITY !

Great value for money and typical Taj homeliness.
Pros:

Room, maintenance, staff courtesy, food. Front desk staff was excellent and also Satish J in the breakfast restaurant. Homeliness of Taj hotels.
