Can't think of anything
It’s a lovely building and set in a nice quiet place with pretty garden and we loved the orangery and patio area too, overall it was the perfect place for my sons wedding
Nothing !
Everything, it was a beautiful place to stay.
Locatie
Ouwe meuk, geen lift.
Vloerbedekking in 3 lagen op elkaar (vies!!)
Kamervloer helemaal scheef aflopend, bed dito
Clean polite staff
Nicely located in a quiet country village location yet only minutes away from motorway connections.
An elegant stylish hotel in the grand manor style.
Spacious communal areas and everywhere clean and calm.
The approach road was single track in places so could have been tricky for big vehicles but nothing to complain about - all good.
Staff - friendly
Bedroom a little tired- paintwork.
It was amazing. 😊We had a great time. We will be back soon😊
The room. The food was good too. Everything about it.
Staff very friendly and accommodating.
The rooms were very tired, Pillows and bedding were old and tired and most uncomfortable for which there is no excuse nowadays especially for the price of the rooms.
Lovely facilities
Nice setting
We came for an anniversary celebration. There was a wedding being hosted at the same time which looked beautiful. However if you are not attending an event that is being hosted there, you have limited options of spaces to go to avoid being part of that event. We ended up cancelling our meal in the restaurant to go into chester for a more relaxed evening. We originally came to enjoy the spa and restaurant. The Spa was also out of use for some of the time we were there. This is not the hotel staff's fault as these things happen but it did mean our relaxing weekend did not go as planned.
Nature around hotel, good and friendly staff
Hotel little bit dated
The room was nice as was most of the hotel and grounds.
Our room was quite noisy due to a wedding and because it was hot we had the windows open and were woken by the emptying of glass bottles into bins and the wedding that was on. I paid with what I thought was breakfast included but hot breakfasts you have to pay for. The pool was also broken so when we finally got in it was cold however, I do understand this was out of their control.
Food was amazing and staff very friendly
Bed was not comfortable as it was two beds put together so there was a sag in the middle. There was a wedding function on so was fairly noisy with a gathering of people outside our window talking and laughing till 12pm so was hard to sleep as window needed to be open to keep the room cool. TV could be more updated, toilet seat could do with being replaced as worn and WC would benefit from a walk in shower instead of a bath and overhead shower. Spa and swimming pool was closed.
