The location is excellent.The staff, general hotel facilities, ambience and restaurant are very nice. We were on the opposite side to Hospital Lane so it was very quiet.
No alcohol on premises so we couldn't enjoy a nice cold beer in our room as we unwound from a long journey. The fridge was not cool, we were told it was a 'bottle cooler' not a fridge. The aircon was not working properly, we had it set to 16 degrees which should have made the room freezing. Luckily it was just cool enough to sleep ok without covers.The room was nice and clean overall but the shower needs a good bleach and scrub.

Ich habe mich als Tourist in ganz Sri Lanka nie unsicher gefüllt. Nachts muss man sich auf dem Land vor den Elefanten in acht nehmen. Obwohl oder wegen dem Finanzdistrikt, der unmittelbaren Nähe zum Präsidentenpalast und dem touristischen Hotspot Altes Hospital mit einem der teuersten und besten Restaurants Asiens wurde ich gleich zweimal aufgefordert in ein TukTuk zu steigen. Beim zweiten Mal konnte der Typ sogar deutsch. Was soll ich in einem Hotel in dem ich als Mann nicht allein auf die Strasse gehen kann.
Hotel ist super, aber Achtung auf der Strasse. Taxi, tuk Tuk nur mit der pickme app bestellen.

The wifi was not good enough
The hotel is clean and the staff is very kind.
It is not the hotel's fault, but it was super noisy from the bars around Dutch Hospital. Don't choose it if you want to sleep a bit.
Also, the WiFi connection is really bad, didn't expect that in this hotel.
The rooms were lovely and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Only thing is if you require parking and it is the busy season you need to book ahead. We were lucky because we had tuk tuks and it was not busy season.

We were there for only one night to rest before seeing Colombo and moving on so this was an excellent rest point.
It’s an easily accessible hotel with clean, comfortable rooms at a reasonable price. Large rooms and excellent bathroom. Nice and quiet at night. Good coffee and restaurant. Friendly, helpful staff too who can help arrange onward travel.
Great location, well-appointed room, comfortable bed, good air conditioning, quiet and good blockout blinds.
Blinds were broken so had to rig them to let in daylight, not a very nice view. Humble but clean and comfortable foyer area. Couldn’t figure out how to turn on the TV but that was likely user error.
