It was nice and clean and there was a lovely swimming pool and nice pub on site and the breakfast in the morning was lovely and there was a bus stop right outside which we took into York to save taking the car
Good selection on the breakfast buffet. Staff were attentive.
Second visit to The Parsonage, lovely room overlooking grounds, pool and spa were very relaxing. Bus into York and back easy to do.

The location is ideal for a visit to York and the designer outlet with the park and ride close by.
Staff not very welcoming, room wasn't ready on arrival. Room we were offered was very poor, tired, musty, dusty and had vegetation growing in the window, black mould in the shower tray. Sellotape on the wall, a piece of cotton hanging from the light fitting. Tea/coffee provided no fridge. There was a fan, iron, ironing board and TV in the rooms.
Spa facilities were dated. Not enough sunbeds/chairs for people there. Non refundable charge for towels. Floor around the pool was cracked in places and tiles missing from the floor in the pool and around the edge.
Cobwebs in the restaurant, clearly visible and should have been cleaned.
The whole hotel wasn't worth the amount I paid.
The Fat Abbot Pub is in the grounds of the hotel and the food was lovely. They also had some hand pulled beers.
Lovely location, the spa was lovely, we used it every day. The pub restaurant was really nice too
Room was very hot, a fan was provided but it didnt do too much - this was in a heatwave to be fair.
Also we requested that the shampoo be refilled as it was empty, and it was not filled while we were there. Still, this is a very minor thing.

Inaccettabile che un albergo a 4 stelle non rifaccia il letto tra una notte e l'altra, che non fornisca neanche una bottiglietta d'acqua e che non abbia neanche controllato il livello del dispenser dello shampoo vuoto. Piastrelle rotte in bagno e ventola non funzionante con bagno senza finestra.

Room was spacious and very comfortable.
Prior notice for booking a table for dinner. We were ok on the first night. The second night we were unable to get a table so had to have room service.
The location was great.
The room smelled musty. The ceiling was in need of repair in the room and the bathroom. The shower screen was rusty/dirty. The front desk staff were belligerent and poorly presented. We were in "the coach house." When we returned after dinner, one of the ceiling tiles in the hall had fallen to the floor, leaving pieces all over the carpet. In the morning, the tile was still there but leaning against the wall. The store cupboard in the hall was open all the time. The property was generally in poor repair.
