The Long Room Hotel and Bar

Alles. Me kamer had in 30-35 graden niet eens een raam alleen een slylight raam wat recht op me bed wees. Douche recht naast bed met wasbak. Niet eens koelkast dus al me eten gesmolten en slecht. Ik had niet eens een eigen wc daar moest ik 2 gangen voor doorheen te lopen dus jn de nacht was verschillelijk. Gevangenis kamer is denk ik nog beter. Deze kamer zou jniet eens legaal mogen zijn in dat warme weer.

There were two things I didn’t like very much. The bed was too soft, which meant you couldn’t rest comfortably because you sank in too much in the middle. But the worst thing was the noise coming from the air conditioning units or fridges in the inner courtyard. As we had to sleep with the window open because of the heat, the noise was terrible, even with earplugs. So it wasn’t easy to get a good night’s sleep. Otherwise, the staff were very friendly, and the place is lovely. It’s probably more suitable at a different time of year when you don’t have to sleep with the window open because of the heat.

The rooms are basic but you don't expect the savoy at these prices. No cask ales on in the bar.

Literally everything was awful from the start. I've never left reviews but this felt necessary especially as the hosts refused to come to a resolution.
This is the worst room I've stayed in of all my travels.

The room was incredibly noisy being on the main road side, trying to open the window for fresh air was disgusting as the inside of the window and handle was covered in bird poo.
The beds were at a weird angle and nailed in to the walls so you can't even move them to make them straight.
The shower door did not even open fully (see photo, did not even open the length of my forearm for scale) I had to step in sideways up a step which is a huge hazard and then when I saw the bugs crawling over the floor of the shower and out of the drain that put me off completely.
The tv is entirely for decoration. It turns on and doesn't do anything more than that and a static screen.
And there is absolutely no WiFi to use in the room and it barely works downstairs in the pub.

A pretty awful experience and truly appalling that the hosts did absolutely nothing to compensate or rectify this situation
I asked to change rooms after checking in and they said they had none, they would not offer any kind of refund.

Two big problems:
- the curtains are wholly inadequate to keep out daylight. So, expect to wake up when the sun rises. Might be ok in the winter, not ok in May.
- the bed came with a single small pillow. As a big guy, I went to ask for a second pillow (frankly would have needed 2-3 more in that size). Got told by the staff 'that wasn't something we do.' Had a very rough night's sleep. with in enough pillow to support my head. (mattress wasn't that great either). Shocking they couldn't supply one.

Nothing

Die Vorhänge waren etwas zu dünn, Ausschlafen war daher leider schwierig. Im Wasserkocher wären leider Haare, ansonsten sehr sauber.
