The views here are unmatched. Gorgeous panorama views of the lake and islands around. We also had a big room on the top floor which was great. The hotel is built into the hillside and you can get down to the water just down the stairs.
The property was just taken over by lux. It feels a bit dated. Also it is not a 5 star hotel - guests do not have access to the pool when the villa is rented.
We also had an issue with another guest at the property. When we arrived the hotel admin told us that we could use the pool. When I went to walk around the property after checking in I wandered down to the pool area to find these French ladies who had rented out the villa. They were in deep conversation with the chef and the hotel manager. The villa came with exclusive access to the pool. In any case I was walking about the pool and the French ladies then told me not to walk past their room - the doors to their villa were wide open. I was confused - I thought they may actually live there and own the hotel. There was no private access to their villa. My partner then came down later and they told him the same thing. They heavily implied they were worried he would steal their things. The ladies should have communicated this through the hotel and not directly to me. That said, the hotel should have mitigated by properly explaining the pool situation and then jumping in to bridge communication.

This property is simply amazing. The rooms are large , very well decorated with taste. The views from the property are simply breathtaking. The staff of the property is simply perfect. We could not dream better place!!! The best kept secret of Rwanda to be discovered!!
