Pros:

The hotel was great, I really liked its very beautiful and well maintained garden. There were many staff members looking after little details such as cleaning sea grass off the beach every morning - this left a great impression on me. The beach was lovely and located near a pine reef forest. The hotel provides umbrellas and sunbeds for free. The staff was kind and professional, perfect service quality, so talking to them was a pleasure. Delicious food (including the dinner - part of the half board price). I recommend.

Lekker relaxen bij Porfi Beach
Pros:

De locatie is geweldig. Prachtige plek, mooie tuin en direct aan het strand. Gezellige medewerkers en goede service. Heerlijk eten.

Cons:

Het viel niet zozeer tegen, maar het lijkt wat gedateerd, maar alle positieve ervaringen compenseren dat. Een waterkoker zou wel fijn zijn.

Just passable and overpriced for what it is
Pros:

The location, well kept garden and pool area, there is always available sunbeds at the beach and at the pool. The staff working at the restaurant area are lovely..

Cons:

the number one problem i have with this hotel was my baby’s safety. they did not provide the baby cot for our 1 year old although we booked them becuz they confirmed that they would. Not only they didnt bring it although we went to the reception multiple times to ask for it, but they never even reached out to apologize or explain the issue, or help us with an alternative. Realizing that the cot isnt coming, my husband and i had to move the furniture in the room to barricade for our 1 year old’s safety.. way to spend our holiday..so, long story short, if you are like us booking this place becuz it looks like a baby friendly family hotel, you may be in for a surprise..

Other things we didnt like:

- Breakfast.. it is low quality buffet.. there is variety but nothing is super good, everything is just passable..
- the rooms are old, bed is uncomfortable, furniture is dated, there is pipe smell in the bathroom, and there wasnt even a bottle of water or a nescafe left in the room for free..
-parking is an issue, it is always full

We stayed in 4 different hotels in the Halkidiki area over the course of 10 days, and this one was the second most expensive but by far the worst..

Pros:

Hotel je lepo ušuškan, i vrlo simpatican sa lepim bazenom. Sobe su stare, i trebalo je da se ciste svakog dana, medjutim to u nasem slucaju nije bilo tako pa smo alarmirali osoblje hotela, nakon toga je cisceno. Hotelska plaza nije za kupanje, tako da ko ide sa malom decom, ima to u vidu. Sve u svemu, ukoliko planirate da obilazite okolne plaze, a treba vam HB ovo je idealna opcija, mada ne vredi za ulozeni novac.

Overall, our stay was okay, but unfortunately, we feel that the quality of the hotel does not correspond to the price.

Beach: The private beach is definitely one of the advantages of the hotel. There are plenty of natural shaded areas, which is especially convenient for families with children. However, the sea water was a major disappointment. It was very dirty and cloudy, with lots of stones, grass and debris, making it difficult to enjoy swimming.

Rooms & service: The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the service was generally okay. The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained, with a lot of greenery and a pleasant garden area.

Food: The food was quite varied, with a good selection of options. The pool was also fine. However, one major negative for a HB hotel is that there is no water available at dinner. Bottled water has to be purchased separately, at around €2 per bottle, which we found unreasonable considering the price of the stay.

For families: Despite the beautiful grounds, there is practically no entertainment for children, which was disappointing, especially for a family-oriented summer holiday.

Mosquitoes: Another significant problem was the large number of mosquitoes in the room, despite the presence of mosquito screens. We believe this was partly because the cleaning staff often left the doors/windows open without properly putting the mosquito screens back in place. We eventually had to buy a mosquito repellent device ourselves to be able to sleep comfortably.

In conclusion, the hotel has some nice features, especially the private beach, natural shade, spacious rooms and well-maintained greenery. However, given the price, we expected a much higher overall standard and more family-friendly facilities.
