Cool place, loud AF!
Pros:

The building is interesting. It’s in good part of town, and the double room upstairs was probably one of the better rooms I stayed in in Sumatra. However, the room was so loud it was almost comical. It’s a good place to get a beer, but don’t stay here if you’re actually planning on sleeping in your hotel room.

Pros:

Great location, excellent value.

Cons:

If you are a non-smoker, be aware that smoking is allowed in the rooms, ashtrays are provided and smoking happens. When one person smokes, the hallways, bathroom, and other rooms get the second hand smoke. I gave a good review of the place and I believe its a great value, good breakfast and helpful staff. But I will not stay here again after all the second hand smoke I got the first night. The staff were accommodating and allowed me to change rooms the second night which helped.

Très bon staff qui permet de passer un agréable séjour dans un emplacement au top.
Pros:

L’emplacement est idéal pour se promener et découvrir la ville. Le fast ferry est à seulement 10-15 minutes à pieds. Le staff est très chaleureux et amicale. Petit déjeuner inclus.

Cons:

when you check in a deposit is required, but in the morning I had trouble to get my money back. Also if you have to check out early morning they are very slow to prepare breakfast.... and I even told them the night before but all the staff were sleeping at 06.00am

Chambre spacieuse, propre, grande salle de bain, superbe décoration, bar sympa

Cons:

Le bruit, mais en même temps, c'était un samedi et il y avait une grosse soirée. On nous a prévenu et demandé si c'était quand même ok. Petit déjeuner très sommaire mais fait le job (oeuf riz toast café et thé)

Great place for a west Sumatra exception
Pros:

Absolutely a pearl in west sumatra is this place and padangs surrounding area of the bats and arrow. Went there by bicycle and crossed sumatra before. I couldn't believe my eyes to see the first Bintang sign the closer I cane to the place. Once to be there I had great chat with other guests and a laughter with several others. Due the time pressure I couldn't stay for a weekend, what must be even cooler than those e i stayed

Cons:

Well it's hard to say, I think ppl put a lot of effort to make it comfortable. Sometimes you got inclusive guests sometimes exclusive, but a good host hosts both, so no way to complain

Ok stay for one night on tight budget
Pros:

Room is clean and shared bathroom is also clean.

Cons:

I didn't know before booking that this is a night club on the weekend nights. Staff did tell me in advance though. Very loud.

great location and room but pretty loud most nights
Pros:

great location and view from room onto the dock staff great. nice room hot water is hard to come by over here !

Cons:

very loud. did not realise it is also a club on friday and saturday nights. people drink until pretty late. if you are looking for some quiet before heading on the ferry then this isn’t the place
