Very welcoming staff great food we had Sunday dinner and breakfast we were well fed with good quality food. The room was spacious with a good modern bathroom. Ample car parking the village location was good not too far to drive from Whitby. Would return.
Everything was good
Excellent evening meal with family member, then a comfortable night's sleep and a hearty full English breakfast (with a nice view of the local sheep also enjoying their breakfast). I was very well looked after by the staff who went "above and beyond" in relaying information and helping with a luggage situation. The food at a family function later was also excellent.
Nothing really - basically all fine. A curtain across the small window might have kept the light out and prevented me from waking up too early, but that is the only comment I have.

Water in the shower wasn’t very hot, the bed was okay but the pillows were terrible
Friendly helpful staff, brilliant freshly cooked breakfast, and excellent evening bar meals. The surrounding village was so peaceful, and the bus stop to Whitby a quick easy walk away. We were there on quiz night, which was great fun as we had befriended another 2 couples so even though we didn't enter the quiz, we did compare answers.
The place was closed for a couple of hours mid afternoon, so had we arrived 20 minutes later, we could not have checked in until tea time. The fan from the kitchen droned through our room which was a problem for me. The fan was only on during food service times, so we left the room when it was on which wasn't ideal.

Lovely hostess, polite staff, great breakfast and moved up to the suite on our second night. Had a meal in the restaurant also and good value.
First night stay a little uncomfortable as bed we had was due to be replaced, rectified night 2 with a move into suite.

Our evening meal was amazing, 6 of us, everyone chose a different meal and everyone loved it. The steak and mushroom pie was so tender and tasty it was delicious.Breakfast again was excellent with good quality items in the full breakfasts. Our room was spotlessly clean and quirky
Only being picky, our room was on the top floor, would have preferred a lower room, but we hadnt asked for that so not a problem. Also we both banged our heads several times on the beams!, again our own faults for not being careful

Fantastic staff, polite, friendly and helpful. Evening meal was brilliant with plenty of choice of the menu and the specials board looked great too. After the meal we stayed and enjoyed the quiz plus bingo(Tuesdays), good laugh and a few drinks.
Room was lovely and relaxing, clean and well equipped, comfortable with enough space for two to feel rested.
Breakfast was a good choice again , we went for the full english, which went down very well and set us up for a great day around Whitby.

Exceptionally clean with lovely rooms, we were very impressed. Good evening meal & breakfast. Compliments to the staff, very friendly & helpful.
