Excellent view of the lake from the terrace. Lovely garden. Staff very nice. Evening meal good but not cheap. Breakfast nice. Great location for the start of the Haweswater walks.
Very old building. In need of some tlc. Our room overlooked the kitchen generator to the side of the house.

Stunning place, so lucky to find this lovely hotel by chance. The surroundings were beautiful and inside decor really smart too. Delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner . Would highly recommend

Great location, stylish deco design, helpful staff. Decent restaurant, nice breakfast.
We stayed in a suite room. The main bed was very comfortable but the sofa bed that one member of our party slept on needs rethinking as it has a definite central fold and was not comfortable to sleep on. More sofa than bed.
The hotel disputed my payment receipt via booking.com and charged me again for the same room. So I have now made 2 x payments. I have sent them an email to get a refund but had had no reply as yet and their phone goes to voicemail constantly.
When I was waiting for my room to be ready another couple checking in had exactly the same issue so Haweswater hotel and booking.com obvious have a. Communication issue with payments.
