Older staff were friendly youung ones need to smile a bit more. On our arrival had to wait for the room to be chevked it was ready even thou we arrived 3 hours after the earliest check in time

Great size family room, excellent evening meal
Kevin and his team were all very welcoming from the moment of arrival until departure. I had a spotless , comfortable and quiet bedroom at the rear of the property, as the property front is adjacent to a busy road.
The filet steak was cooked to perfection, and well presented with fresh vegetables and an accompanying sauce to add to your own requirement.
Secure parking for my motor bike was also provided at the rear of the hotel, which had a relaxing garden seating area. A complimentary coffee from Kevin set me up nicely for my northbound journey home, the next morning.
There was no Campari in the bar, but the Aperol Sptizer was an enjoyable alternative. This was a very minor point, as my whole experience was very positive. I will definitely return to this hotel on any future southbound journeys by bike or car.

Disappointed that the pub shut at 9 00. Check-in / out is very impersonal. More like an airbnb. No breakfast, again a bit 'sort yourself out'.
Staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The garden was well kept with great views.
Bench seating for me is a little uncomfortable and would have preferred table and chairs. I understand why that isn't always possible though.

In the heatwave, the room was very hot both in the day and in the night even with the windows open. No air conditioning or fan. Also the radiator in the bathroom was on and I could not see how to lower the temperature.
Spacious clean room. Got asked if we want a ventilator and they delivered it immediately. Comfy bed, nice shower

The staff were lovely and friendly and the room was very clean. Sheets crispy cotton, carpet comfortable and clean, good ventilation and temperature in the room, TV good. As I was attending a wake at the hotel later the same day, the staff were extremely helpful in storing my case while I was attending the crematorium service.
I was not expecting to be there no breakfast available and unfortunately there seemed to be no way to leave the hotel in the morning, go and buy breakfast and get back in. There was an instant porridge pot left but it was past its best before date. Oddly, the room did not have a chair so I couldn't sit at the desk. The email telling me how to connect to the Wifi with password strangely arrived after I had left! Another pub I stayed at once had a micro fridge available to guests on a landing with fresh milk and orange juice in it and cereal boxes and bowls, bread rolls in a tin and some marmalade. This was a very effective way of providing a self-service breakfast and maybe you could copy that?

Such an amazing staff who look after you and so friendly . I stayed the night of England v Norway and a big event with large screen outside rear of pub in field . Place was packed out and staff worked tirelessly to look after everyone in a hot and busy environment .
They could have not done enough for me considering I was staying the night in a noisy and warm atmosphere .
If you want great service and exceptional value I would recommend and a fantastic breakfast !
