Bel emplacement mais équipements et confort décevants. Un mauvais rapport qualité/prix
Pros:

L'emplacement est exceptionnel. Sur les hauteurs de Gersau, on a une vue imprenable sur le lac. A noter que le petit déjeuner est compris systématiquement dans le prix de la chambre. Il est copieux.

Cons:

La chambre dite économique ne l'est pas. Le prix y est très élevé au regard du confort minimal proposé. La pièce est exiguë , il n'y a pas de pièce commune, pas de bureau ni de table... Pas de volets, aucun espace pour faire sécher maillots et serviettes.
Attention, la route de montagne qui mène à l'hôtel peut être un peu impressionnante voire effrayante quand on n'a pas l'habitude.
Si la piscine offre une vue imprenable sur le lac., son système de filtration ne parvient pas à la débarrasser des centaines d'insectes qui s'y noient...

Room and breakfast in an apartment bloc, way out Gersau. A car is essential !!
Pros:

Breakfast on the terrace, with view over the lake, was fabulous. So was the view from the swimming pool.

Cons:

Gasthaus Platten is NOT a “gasthaus”. One gets a room in an apartment building, nothing more, nothing less. Breakfast is served in a restaurant unrelated to the guesthouse. There is no atmosphere of a cozy hotel.

Short break in Gersau
Pros:

Beautiful views over the lake and a great breakfast was offered each day. The room had everything we needed including towels to use at the pool. There were also 2 loungers assigned to each room for use at the pool! The restaurant on site was lovely and offered a good selection.

Cons:

No air con but there was a fan in the room.

Rooms were very clean! Bed was very comfortable. Staff nice. Great breakfast!

Cons:

The booking.com said they had a/c. They do not. Fans with no screens on windows.

Memorable stay in beautiful gersau!
Pros:

Gorgeous view. Easy check in. Great breakfast. Clean, well equipped rooms. Friendly staff. Did I mention the view!!

Cons:

Not a big deal for us, but no elevator access if you have bags to get upstairs.

Traumhaft ruhige Aussicht
Pros:

Komisch ist das Hotelbesucher den Lift nicht brauchen dürfen, auch ein wenig komisch das man sich im Restaurant meldet, dann aussenrum geschickt wird und auf der anderen Seite des Hauses wieder herein geht (mit Durchgang ins Restaurant :-) )
