The heated pool with the in pool bar was lovely. A large property with our own hut and golf cart transport. The staff, extremely friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed this property and would recommend it highly. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and accommodating. We arrived early and our rooms were available right away. Both the restaurant onsite and the breakfast were of good quality and there were a lot of breakfast choices. The fresh fruits (including mango and papaya) were standouts. Our rooms were comfortable with nice views into the forest - we were able to see a number of birds, mammals, and large iguanas (in trees) from our porch - which was a bonus for our wildlife-oriented group. Also lots of colorful birds on the beautiful grounds - parrots, toucans, etc. Two of our group had massages at the spa and thought they were among the best they’d had. Finally, the pools were wonderful - after visiting one of the hot springs, we preferred the warm and cold pools onsite. All in all a great visit.
Could have used more coffee in the room.

La ubicación es excelente y las instalaciones son muy bonitas.
Talvez el parqueo no tienen mucho espacio cerca de la habitación.

Zeer rustig gelegen hotel middenin de natuur. Prachtige grote en propere kamer met uitzicht op de vulkaan. De faciliteiten in het hotel zijn goed, net zoals het uitgebreide ontbijt!

Individual bungalows were spacious and private
Stunning large room built like a standalone villa, situated at the edge of the forest but just a 5 min walk to the pool and reception. Large private balcony with a jacuzzi (did not use because the pool with wet bar was great), enjoyed relaxing on the balcony in candlelight (candles provided by hotel). Lots of wildlife around the hotel including howler monkeys, butterflies and beautiful huge silk moths. The hotel has its own house trail (1 mile loop) which we walked, and saw a strawberry poison dart frog and got some great photos. Very convenient location for going to other guided hikes and thermal baths.
Hotel dining options were a little limited and despite a great pizza oven the pizzas were drenched with cheese and too heavy. La Fortuna has some good dining options so we ate out half the time.
Everything was great and as advertised
Our room didn't get cleaned one day and it meant our order in wasnt taken away. This caused a bigger mess the next day.
