Pet friendly. The amenities (shampoo and conditioner) were good, and the bed was comfortable.
Shower was just okay and had very low water pressure.
We chose this hotel because of its restaurant, but dinner was a mess. They didn't have the English sparkling wine listed, one of the starters arrived after the main course because they forgot it, and one of the main courses was incorrect (a dry-aged ribeye requested medium-rare arrived completely dry and with sauce). The other steak was also missing. They only replaced the wrong steak after we pointed out that it didn't match the second steak, as we had ordered two identical ribeyes. When they brought the replacement, we noticed that one ribeye (the third one) was perfect, while the other had a completely different texture and flavor—not consistent at all. The waiter that night offered to pay for the wrong steak himself, but we didn't let him do that since they eventually replaced it. However, what was unacceptable was automatically including a 10% service charge without giving us the option, especially for a £210 dinner for two. We paid, but it was simply not right from our perspective.
Breakfast lacked options: even knowing that our table was gluten free, there was no gluten-free bread, and we only got gluten-free cereal after asking twice.
L’ancienneté des lieux, le dîner
Rien
Great location, like the age and history of of the building
Needs a bigger bar, maybe separated from the dining area
Tout
Great location with good breakfast included.
Could use a friendlier person at the front desk.
Location
No information about it prior to booking in relation to no lift, stairs and how old some parts were
Nice location, restaurant and restaurant staff was good. Rooms were lovely, comfortable and modern.
Yellow water from tap, dingy hallways, very loud staircase
Breakfast is well served. Many choices. Near the Ballachulish Bridge and the view on the bridge is great.
Gorgeous setting, nice public spaces, historic character and charm.
A little pricey.
Tutto!!!
