A lovely place – we’ll be back
Pros:

A lovely guest house, a brilliant location with views of the Alps, comfortable beds, a small kitchen with everything you need, and a toilet and shower in every room (we booked a 4-person suite)

Cons:

There was only one little bottle of shower gel (2-in-1 gel and shampoo) per room. That wasn’t enough for us for three nights

Not worth the money
Pros:

This place is a very whimsical and fairytale core. The garden is beautiful and has a furnished kitchen. Property is located in a very nice neighbourhood and the view to the mountains was gorgeous. Parking was good and free.

Cons:

The wifi was way too poor ( I dont know how they have such high rating) we asked them many times before it got okay when we checked out. They gave us a room that was not initially allocated to us in booking and it was too small. Way too many insects in the house ( Spiders, ants and small insects) not at all ideal specially if you have a toddler. The nails in the garden floor were loose and coming out and my son hurt himself. The door knobs of fridge and bathroom were broken and even after I complained they didnt do anything about it. The bathroom door had a mirror which was broken and it was absolute hazard to even open it so we had to keep it open all the time. The dining table was so loose it would move around even if you touch it. The space was very congested, too small to even move around properly and there were spider webs all across the room. Another weird thing that they asked us to dispose the waste way too many times, not a problem for us but for such poor quality place its not worth all the hassle you have to go through!

Amazing location with amazing views and very cosy, we did have 2 flats (4 people) so it was very convenient to have separate bathrooms as it did not feel crowded in the mornings/evenings. Also a huge plus for no strict timing regarding arrival. Comfortable beds, lovely huge terrace straight outside your windows

Rundum perfekter Urlaub!
Pros:

Rundum wunderbarer Aufenthalt für unsere 4-köpfige Familie! Wir haben uns in der Ferienwohnung bayerische Gemütlichkeit sofort so wohl wie zu Hause gefühlt. Grainau ist wie ein Ferienpark, alles wichtige für Familien ist fußläufig erreichbar, Tante Emma Laden, bayerische Wirtschaft, Minigolf, Zahnradbahn, Spielplatz und Schwimmbad! Wir planen direkt unseren nächsten Aufenthalt im Haus Sonnenschein im nächsten Jahr!

Fantastic stay with 4 people (2 couples)
Pros:

- The apartment was clean and well-maintained
- The location is really nice (especially if you have a car) for skiing since you are between Garmisch Klassik and Zugspitze Ski areas.
- The apartment was well equipped (we cooked both nights)
- There is a very well-equipped sauna area (though we ended up not having enough time during our stay to use it)
- The value for money was exceptional, this is the lowest nightly rate I have paid for a hotel in Germany, and a far higher quality than most.
- Interior and exterior are carefully maintained with clear instructions and easy check-in and out.
- You can see lots of love has gone into the property in general!
- Photos on booking.com are accurate and clear.

Note: for the sauna area there is a (in our eyes very fair) €22 charge. It's best to plan your visit to it a little in advance to make optimal use of it, since it also takes ~ 1hr to warm up.
