The breakfast and the staff at breakfast were great. Location was excellent, however the room cleanliness and basic facilities let it down. This was our second stay and we probably won’t come back a third time.
Cleanliness, front reception staff and basic facilities.
Though I'm now back stateside, part of me will always remain on the wonderful patios overlooking the grand canal from the ground floor and breakfast room. Everything else is secondary to that. However, the staff was wonderful, the on-site bar was well stocked and afforadably priced, and the room was everything I needed as a solo traveler. Oh, and the place dates back to the 14th century and was the home of a famous Venetian artist, Giacomo Favretto. No big deal.
Nothing, really. Ok, fine. The shower/tub combo was a little small and cumbersome for me to use, but that's the smallest of complaints. It was truly a wonderful stay from start to finish.
Rooms, service and location
Could benefit from some more comfortable seating areas

Beautiful hotel one of the best rooms we have ever stayed in. Amazing view of the grand canal. Great breakfast and nice bar. Excellent location
Nothing. It was a little expensive but worth it
Location and staff
The stairs to the third floor with suitcases is something else
Everything, location , room , staff , breakfast all excellent
Nothing
Breakfast very nice lady and choice of food. Bed very confy , location pretty central although a bit hard to reach , and not much restaurants around. But proximity to vaporetto appreciable
Definitely the showers: no pressure, and smell from sewage coming out of the drains...
Also we had a half day without electricity.
We travelled all around the world and this is more like a 3 stars hotel, even if charming
The location was very central and easy to get to from the train station using the Vaparazzo. It is nicely decorated and has a good breakfast included in the stay. It’s quiet for the most part though our room was very close to the dining area and when we would leave our window open at night, it was easy to hear people on the street in the mornings.
For the price, it wasn’t as nice as you would hope. Very simple room, though nicely decorated. Has AC though we couldn’t figure out how to turn it on. We didn’t need it though as it was cool when we were here. No elevator but the staff will carry your bags up the stairs for you which is very nice.
Fantastic location. Was able to be transferred from airport to hotel dock by water transfer. It was great. Close proximity to Rialto Bridge and a number of really great restaurants.
Our room looked right onto the canal, which was fantastic.
Had a nice little deck on the canal, to enjoy a wine.
