Apart from the disappointing restaurant service we enjoyed the stay.
Pros:

we liked the room, very comfortable and beautifully decorated

Cons:

The service in the restaurant is appalling. We were a table of 8 and we waited a very long time for dinner and breakfast, and the meals came out at different times with at least 10 minute intervals. The breakfast eggs were completely overcooked and rubbery, the rest of the meal was okay.
Breakfast the second day was a buffet, there was a shortage of cups, glasses and plates. The meal was better.

Lovely staff. Restaurant too slow.

The staff were lovely. The rooms 17.18.19 were gorgous.

Cons:

The restaurant was very slow. We were a table of about 8 people. It took over an hour for breakfast. . The staff were lovely but the time waited for food was way too long. At diner 2 of us got our food and we had eaten ours before the food arrived for the other guests. The restaurant was not busy.

Pros:

Nice doctor. Lovely gardens.

Cons:

The restaurant is ridiculously poor. Our table all served at different times. One was finished eating then the next one gets their food. Ordered medium rare steak it was well done. Etc etc. breakfast took an hour to arrive. Soft eggs ordered came hard. Orders mixed up.

for the price you pay, the place is terrible
Pros:

Cons:

the room was exceptionally small. The bATHROOM/SHOWER/ you could just stand in in up straight it was so small
the noise in the room was terrible. every bit of slight noise someone made you could hear
If some one in any room used the water, the noise in our room was as if the water was rushing in the pipes in OUR room
At night if anybody moved anything in another room , it sounded as if they were dagging furniture accross the room

Great place to visit and we had a wonderful experience.
Pros:

Breakfast was great. We great fireplace for the cold night.

Cons:

Dinner needed to be a bit better. Waiters cant play music off their p[hones and leave halfway through the ordering or meal.
