very nice, good and friendly staff, always smiling and helpful.
Pros:

the breakfast was ok but standard.
the dinner was superb but required some waiting.
very good and agreeable room.
i like that they have put up rails at the front door with a handle.

Cons:

the bed slightly too high for me who is disabled. the bath had an excellent bathmat, but could do with a longer one covering the whole length of the shower room, especially for me who is extremely poor walking, especially on smooth flooring

Canal-side comfort

A charming characterful pub with rooms, set alongside a pretty canal and close to a Park & Ride for Chester centre. Warm welcome at check-in and friendly atmosphere in the pub which has plenty of parking. Spacious, well-designed room with handy plug points and mirrors, plus a large bathroom and powerful shower. A great breakfast topped off a lovely stay!
