The hotel is fortunate enough to have the largest city center car park in Wells. However, the spaces are limited and are on a first come, first served basis.

Please note that our restaurant can get busy and booking is advisable.

Due to the age and construction of the property there is no elevator access to higher floors- if this is an issue please contact the hotel who will be happy to assist you in allocating the right room for your needs.Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

Good location friendly staff but disappointing room.
Pros:

Location was fabulous and had parking. Housekeeper was brilliant. Reception staff friendly.

Cons:

My sheets were not clean mould & dog hairs on the sheet & duvet cover . Reported to reception. Lovely Housekeeper came and changed however we were not offered a new room or even a complimentary drink or coffee by management. Bathroom although clean was very tired & taps very old & shower pressure nor great

Fantastic view of the Cathedral
Pros:

Breakfast was generally good although the bun used for my eggs Benedict was burnt
Rhubarb Soufflee was exceptional.

Cons:

The bedroom was cold. The shower floor was slippery.

A perfect last day to our road trip 😎👍
Pros:

Excellent food. Staff were great. Cathy in the restaurant was brilliant as well as the other staff. Compliments to the chef, couldn’t fault the evening meal we had. Perfect 👍😎

Left feeling exhausted -shocking night's sleep.
Pros:

Downstairs bar/lounge/dining very nice.

Cons:

The room fronted the high street so at both midnight and 5am we were woken by refuse trucks doing what they do. Very loud, impossible to sleep through - similar complaints have been made on Trip Advisor - even the desk staff knew of the issue but nothing has been done and we were not warned. We would have insisted on another room has we known. Avoid Coach House rooms.

Pros:

Room was lovely with a great view of the Cathedral. Location great, Clean, Staff friendly & helpful. Breakfast was good for a buffet breakfast, lots of choice. Nice bar. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Cons:

We had 2 rooms. One room had Netflix, the other did not l also the fan did not work & it was hot, however staff were very helpful by& kindly gave me the fan from their desk.
The car park was packed, there was only one space left & my car was sticking out a bit, so I was worried about that.
Also I was woken by the clanging of beer barrels being changed over (probably can’t be helped) & men shouting ( which definitely can) right under my window

Cons:

The car parking was extremely tight. As a result my car was scratched by someone who did not leave a note. I asked the hotel to review their ccctv footage which they did but they said it was inconclusive. Apparently the camera that covers the tightest parking area is only a dummy camera so the only one with footage was too far away to be conclusive. Not very good for a good hotel.
