Poor.
Cons:

Could not use this room. Specifically asked for a Twin Room for my relatives. Actually visited the pub beforehand to discuss and agree. But had to make booking with Booking.com. Added the special request to the booking including room name as directed by the pub. All arranged and booked a week before stay. Went to check in the evening before their arrival, and Emily Room was a double bed. Went elsewhere to book at White Lion. Complained in writing to Booking.com and the pub. Requested refund of £130.00, no answer from either. Will pursue further, lazy and ignorant response.

Very expensive for basic, noisy accomodation!
Pros:

Very good location with a car park (however it’s very small and spaces are not reserved just for guests)

Cons:

Noisy on a night - entertainment finished at half 11, fine, but then the staff continue to make lots of noise (talking loudly and banging) whilst clearing up till about 1/2 am!!! The chuch next door also chimes every 15mins and there is a noisy rooster in the morning!

Amenities ok, bed was comfy. Bathroom sink is tiny and difficult to use! Need some privacy curtains as our rooms faced the chuchyard!

Pros:

The location was excellent, the room was very small, but sufficient for our needs. We had a lovely view of the street and the valley beyond with a lovely little window seat. It was nice and clean.
The landlady was very friendly.
We loved the stained glass window on the stairs and Branwells chair.
The cooked breakfast was lovely.
The car park and free parking was excellent. The seperate entrance for guests was great, too.
Local biscuits and tea/coffee making facilities very much appreciated.

Cons:

The springs were going in the mattress, it's probably time to change it.
The morning coffee was way too weak for us. A good coffee is essential in the morning!
Our room was lovely, although I was expecting a room with the window right next to the graveyard. I think the photos on booking.com are slightly misleading.

Good but not for those who want an earlier night
Pros:

Staff were lovely and the location is amazing

Cons:

I get that it's a pub and there's music, however, playing house music to a bunch of youngsters until 5 past 12 with bass turned up was taking the mick a little

Beautiful location being used to compensate for poor service which wouldn’t be acceptable elsewhere.
Pros:

The Inn from the outside was beautiful and the location excellent.

Cons:

There was no communication before we arrived (no-one was answering the phone). There was mixed messaging about breakfast being included or not so spent more money having breakfast elsewhere, then found out it was included but no choice or menu (a menu was apparently supposed to be in the room but wasn’t) therefore no vegetarian options. Very slow service when ordering Sunday lunch - ‘nut roast’ turned out to be a vegan burger with nuts sprinkled on top. The room wasn’t cleaned even though it stated it was part of the service, had to ask several times for tea/coffee to be replenished. There was a laissez-faire attitude amongst staff and a lack of care about the poor service as well as poor communication.

One of the best places we have ever stayed.
Pros:

The location was beautiful, the beds were extremely comfortable and very clean but the room was on the small side but functional.

Cons:

We had no breakfast but the first day we got there we ate in the bar, we was told half an hour wait, which was fine but an hour later we were still waiting, we asked a member of staff and she in turn told us it would be another half an hour, they said they were very busy but there were hardly anybody in the bar but saying that the food was excellent all freshly cooked and good value for money. We ate in there again, because it was so lovely so we prepared ourselves. The meal came up within half an hour which was as good as the the previous meal. If going there to eat avoid lunch times, and be prepared for a wait.
