Beautiful place to stay!
Pros:

Hotel de la Sage is a lovely hotel in the alpine town of La Sage. The staff were incredible - very helpful with everything. My room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. The salon, a large room where you could sit and read or play games, was absolutely beautiful. I could have stayed there all day! The dinner at the hotel restaurant - delicious!! One of the best meals I’ve eaten in Europe.

Cons:

My room had a slanting floor - which was a bit strange, but it didn’t really matter.

Pros:

Picturesques location, stunning at this time of year
Pros:

Location & character.

Cons:

Dietary needs were met, but perhaps with a degree of frustration by management.
Chef / kitchen staff were excellent.
Management were unprofessional on day of check out. An early breakfast with lights switched should be a given. A request for coffee quickly shutdown.

La Sage et le calme
Pros:

Se réveiller au son des oiseaux, de la cascade et face à la splendeur des montagnes, le dévouement sincère du personnel, la délicatesse de la décoration (qui évite les clichés "alpins" tout en respectant l'esprit des hôtels historiques du val d'Herens)
