All members of staff are excellent-nothing was ever too much trouble. The reason we choose room 5 is,qiute simply, for the view of the very nearby river.
As vegans,we were very impressed with our choices, including sausages, for our 3 mornings of breakfast.
Ween we travel 320 miles from Devon to visit relatives in Norfolk,we have often stayed in the Town House. It is conveniently situated and provides us with a bed/breakfast for our stay. From our first stay, several years ago,it would seem that a major upgrade was always on its way. That very necessary upgrade has never happened.
That upgrade is a must!
Cleaning especially in my bedroom was excellent breakfast and evening meal very good value.
No WiFi I kept being told it was because we were in a dip. However when I walked along the road in a cafe same problem still in the dip WiFi was excellent. I frequently come to Norwich from Spain and it is very important for me to be able to access WiFi. So unfortunately I shall not be returning to the Town House
Beautiful location with the garden over looking the river, very clean room, great breakfast, would stay again
Nothing , all very good, great location for visiting Norwich
Friendly staff, value for money for food, location on edge of city was good, good housekeeping, good riverside beer garden
Overall the whole place really needs a deep refurb. Window frames need replacing throughout accommodation and bar/restaurant areas. Flooring needs replacing. Outside needs a good paint job. We know other locations in this chain and they don't show the same signs of wear.

The room was full of mould and damp it was unfit to sleep in. There were stains on lamps and soft furnishings along with black on the doors where they hadnt been cleaned.
The rooms were clean and modern. The bathroom had some areas that needed attention. Staff were friendly.
The restaurant food was disappointing. We had carvery and breakfast and for both the food has clearly been sitting there for a while as had dried up. Also the tongs to get food were all under hot lamps, so we're extremely hot, this needs addressing as burnt fingers.
location- travelled out of Norwich for 4 days and it was a great
base. easy parking/ fab daily carvery/ on riverfront / really helpful and friendly staff/ v comfortable bed/ clean room daily
the pub/hotel whilst was really excellent value was a bit “tired”- but it’s a v old
building - still
would
recommend though
Rebecca and her colleague were amazing. Well stocked bar.
Stayed during the heatwave and wgike there was a fan, thd bed had bedding for winter on it especially the mattress protector. It was expensive for single room.
Pub grub and staff we’re really good.
The room itself wasn’t that nice. There was water leak stains near a plug socket, window had mold, the window collapsed on one side just by walking past it, tv was intermittent, the floor creaked massively and right by the toilet room door, the floor sunk in massively.
It was a great hotel in Norwich with amazing views to enjoy. The room was a good size for a family of 4 and the beds were comfy, even the pull out couch for the kids. Breakfast was simple but absolutely tasty and adorable. We would definitely stay here again.
Because it's a townhouse hotel the room felt warm even though we had a fan on during the night.
It is amazing
It was really handy for work. Hot shower and bed comfy. I didn’t eat there so can not comment about the food. The guy that check me in was friendly and explained everything clearly to me.
