Staff has good attitude and always ready to help.
The only downside is that the bathroom sometimes has a sewer-like odor and the toilet drain is slow and clogs easily, even with normal use; otherwise, the place would be perfect
I cannot rate the Modala Beach Resort highly enough. A beautiful hotel in a fantastic location with excellent staff. The food, the cleanliness, the facilities and the beautiful beach setting all combined to provide a wonderful experience.
If I could offer some constructive criticism it would be the quality of the Internet. Average speed was mid 20's mbh making livestream of the world cup football impossible. Improve the quality and speed of the Internet and this place would be perfection.
Rent og pent, flott strand.
Rennende toalett som burde fikses
Loved everything! Hoping to come back here next year to enjoy the water activities this time. Our room was at a great location, clean, comfortable and staff were great
This place is the nicest place we have stayed in the world. The staff were absolutely wonderful and so freindly, everything was immaculate. The breakfast was the best buffet we have ever had and the beach was pristine, private and lux. Free kayak for 30mins each day. Not sure if was season offer but made for a nice experience. If you tossing between alona or here...here is lux and ultra quiet, alona is busy and vibing. If you are tossing between cebu and bohol. Pick BOHOL.
Quite and so relaxing to stay in
I liked the design of the resort. I like the jellyfish warning together with my husbnad's birthday greetings and welcome note. I appreciate the check out process and the food I requested packed for our very early departure.
I could already see some exposed rebars of the overhang eaves from the pool deck. Kinda scary to aee thinking what if some fall off. The bidets in the pool loo needs maintenance.

We stayed at Modala Hotel in Panglao and overall it was a nice experience. The staff were really kind and accommodating, and we appreciated how friendly they were, especially how they even interacted and helped entertain our 6-month-old baby while we were eating. That kind of service really stood out for us.
The room and pool were good too, and we actually spent most of our time in the pool since it was clean and relaxing.
The downside for us was the beach/ocean area. There were a lot of jellyfish during our stay so we weren’t able to enjoy swimming, kayaking, or the other water activities included, which was a bit disappointing. The Moadto Strip nearby was also a bit limited, mostly souvenir shops and not a lot of variety.
Still, the restaurants around the area were good, and overall we had a comfortable stay.
Overall i was very satisfied with our stay including the day access that we availed for our relatives who came for a visit. The foods were amazingly delicious, from lunch to breakfast, I couldn’t say any bad review about it! Kudos to the chef and the very lovely, accomodating and friendly F&B staff.
The front desk staff forgot to tell us about the free photoshoot and did not give us the card(coupon, whatever). I asked about it only when I saw a lot of guests having photoshoot around the hotel and I only found out when we were about to check out(an hour before). I requested for only one shot (photo) since we were already leaving and it doesn’t make sense if we will have the whole 30minutes photoshoot when we are about to check out. The photographer declined our request even though it is not our fault we weren’t informed about it in the first place. I just don’t see any sense when it is complimentary but not really complimentary? Whatever! We even told them we have family in Panglao who can pick the printed photo. But anyway. Whatever! Another thing, no communication between the staff about the day access complimentary shoot with the horse photo (something). The horse in-charge is saying we need to pay when in fact it is stated that we get a complimentary photo with the horse when we have day-pass or access. (We have 7 of them who did not stay overnight) we did not ask for a horse riding but a photo. It was easy to understand. But yeah, i insisted to take a photo and they seemed pissed and unhappy about it like wth. I just don’t know if they handle their guests differently when they are foreigners though. Well we have foreign passports but still look Filipinos. What would we expect with people from PH. It is not the first time we experienced discrimination in our own country. Pinoys are pinoys by blood. Some are nice, some are defo not!
