OK for budget stay over for 1 night
Pros:

Great location in High Street and could park along high street free of charge.
Breakfast and young lady who served both excellent.

Cons:

Noise of people shouting and laughing in the bar until 12:15pm (this was a Tuesday evening) !!

Very helpful staff
Pros:

The staff were very friendly and could not have been more helpful. Good food and service.

Cons:

Our room was situated above the rowdy bar. It sounded like they were partying in our bathroom. The noisy kitchen extractor was situated right outside our window and the bed was very small. Not much sleep. For the above reasons, we couldn't stay here again unfortunately.

Great cheerful and helpful staff, great meals and in a gem of an area
Pros:

Single traveller, but had a nice comfortable double bed. Staff were excellent. Breakfasts and evening meals were excellent. Hotel right in the middle of the high street, with ample parking. Great locals with pride for their town. A gem of an area right on the tweed valley kayak, cycling and adventure route.

It’s a very Nice hotel. Clean, very friendly, great breakfast.

Cons:

The Floors are a bit squeky but it brings autenticity to the stay. It’s not annoying.
