Staff were wonderful. Loved the meal in the hotel.
Ideal location.
Lighting in the carport. We saw the bar Staff & said we wanted an evening meal. We went into another room with a fire . After 15 minutes we saw the chairs being stacked & went to order food , to find the kitchen had closed. We then had to go to another Hotel for dinner.
Rooms were awesome
Hot showers with great pressure.
Perfect location and lovely renovated traditional pub
Couple of things not working in our chalet - air con, safe and one of the lights, but didn’t really effect our stay
Our stay in the Mt Anderson room was lovely! It was a freezing weekend, so the air conditioning was a big plus. The kitchenette had all the basics one would need, and the reading nook by the window was so cozy. The balcony was the perfect spot to view the sunrise with a coffee. Everything is within walking distance. All this hotel needs is a brekky included, that would make it perfect!
They're upgrading the premises so we had to walk around to get to the restaurant and checkin desk. It wasn't a big deal. We're keen to see what it'll turn into.
The units are quite close together. We would've liked to have a sectioned off balcony, but on the other hand it could be convenient if a group booked both rooms and shared the balcony.
Loved the location, being in town. Loved being able to walk from the restaurant to our room.
There were renovations going on so access was affected.
Clean with good facilities.
The lay out of the room. The bed size and comfort. Bath room size. Lighting layout and over all a great room for value.

The new room we were in was spacious and spotless. King size bed was comfy. River view was nice.
We understand that all hotels need renovation / construction at some stage, but this was an issue that we think should have been communicated to us prior to arrival, especially considering the restaurant (usually open the night we stayed) was closed. We arrived to a locked front door, with no instructions as to how an arriving guest should deal with this. We could see various people through the glass but as it seems they were contractors, we were ignored. We eventually went into the bottle shop to ask what to do, and they came back and said someone would let us in. So we went back to the front door and waited another five minutes before we were let in. The staff were in some kind of confusion checking us in as well, as they were hassled by what they were dealing with, with the construction happening right there in the front bar. Our room was clearly a very new structure at the back of the hotel (I kinda hoped that a balcony room would be a charming old one with character features overlooking the street, but that's my bad I guess, for not checking), and it was not easy to get to and had a rather unsalubrious entrance up a steep fire-escape style staircase at the back of the hotel amongst old kegs and other fittings. The room itself was lovely. But with only one afternoon and night to enjoy it, it wasn't the peaceful retreat we had hoped with all the banging and drilling. We had to walk up to the Rec for dinner, which was nice... but really, I would have stayed there instead if I knew about the work at the Victoria and that they wouldn't be able to give us dinner. Communication is key, guys!
Bedroom was lovely presented
Lovely newly renovated, would recommend to friends for a short stay. Comfortable stay, good food could have done with a toaster. Otherwise well equipped.
Better access to main hotel
Clean, modern and spacious . Room had small kitchenette. Quiet location but in the red middle of town.
Restaurant has very nice food at pub prices.
Staff are great , especially Nikki in reservations.
