Some of the furniture was a bit tired.

Bathroom - toilet was cracked, rust around bath taps.

We had disabled room my travel friend needed a disabled room and a plug socket to put on a sleep apnea device in.we asked at reception who suggested we went out and bought an extension cable. As no plug sockets near headboard area. As it was after 9pm we decided we needed to move the be to near the wall with television where the plug sockets were. Also bathroom tiles had lots of black mould on. Not impressed at all

The bathroom was generally very clean, but for some reason there was a little pile of what looked like soil in one corner on the floor. Similar to what I've seen at home when ants have forced a way in. No sign of any insects, though, so a bit of a mystery. Maybe swept into the corner then forgot to pick up... Not a big deal.

Seats are essential in a room especially for us who enjoyed long walks around Bridgend only to come and find room had no single seat.
Morning breakfast is essential. A box breakfast was not ideal. Especially because we had another long day of travel adventures ahead of us.
Is it possible to alert visitors on Inn check out times on arrival/check in (p.s we completely forgot).

We didn’t like the breakfast. There was only 2 choices which was a sausage burger in a burn which was very chewy or a croissant with an orange juice the orange juice was like orange squash didn’t taste very nice I wouldn’t pay for breakfast again and not enough cutlery and large plates to put your takeaway food on .

The room was so stinky and smoking smells stops breathing in room and spoke to receptionist about situation and she didn’t bother and so we decided to leave and not stayed overnight so lost money and requested the manager next morning to refund but he is not come back yet so I request to booking.com to help me claim my money back no

The room was dated and a lot of the laminated surfaces on the furniture were peeling and scrappy. The cleanliness was not to a standard that I am used to, with a thick layer of dust along the headboard, orange mould around the bathroom taps and we did not have room service during our stay. The "welcome" we received from the lady on reception, on arrival, was pretty rude and lacked information. I needed to ask about breakfast and she said "It's a box that you need to collect from here BY 10am and no later". The overnight reception staff, a man, was however very pleasant and offered to help us to the room with our things. When booking, the information said that breakfast was included. Breakfast was a box with a carton of juice and a microwaved piece of meat in a sweaty muffin. We were told that the alternative could have been a croissant but they did not have any. We suspected that, had we been able to choose this, it would also have been microwaved and chewy. We bought breakfast elsewhere on our 2nd morning. We were camping on our final night of the visit and actually considered sleeping in the tent on the 2nd night of our 2 night booking at the hotel as it was so underwhelming.

Ok, chipped bath, mould around tap, sink cracked, no chairs in room, felt empty. TV you had to go through t&c each time it turned on, plug sockets no where near the bed, smell of swimming pools all through the building. And then the Gaul to charge for parking.
