Pros:

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Brassey Hotel in Canberra. This heritage-listed property perfectly blends historic charm with contemporary comfort.
The rooms are beautifully appointed, but what really stood out were the exceptionally comfortable beds — easily some of the best I’ve slept in at any hotel. I woke up feeling refreshed every morning.
The hotel has a wonderful historic feel throughout, with elegant architecture and lovely period details that give it a unique character you don’t find in modern chain hotels. The staff were outstanding — genuinely friendly, helpful, and attentive from check-in to checkout. They made us feel truly welcome.
The well-equipped gym was a great bonus, and I also indulged in a treatment at the Hale Spa, which was excellent — relaxing, professional, and a perfect way to unwind.
Location is convenient, and the overall atmosphere is calm and refined. We’d definitely return and highly recommend the Brassey Hotel for both business and leisure travellers.

Cons:

Only minor improvement would be upgrading the TVs to smart TVs so guests can easily access Netflix, Disney+, and other streaming services.

Room was cold when we arrived. It would have been nice to have the air conditioning on before we arrived. TV not a smart tv, so there wasn’t many options.

Splendid Hotel, comfortable & at a good location
Pros:

Very comfortable hotel. Good location. Our room was cosy, clean & just right for the 2 of us. Good snack bar area & cosy fireplace. Easy access to walk to restaurants & cafes, breakfast at Louis cafe was delicious! Staff were friendly & helpful.

Cons:

For us the quilt on bed was too hot, a winter blanket would have been good, (there was a summer one provided).
