Quite surprised on location and the set up of the park
Staff friendly
Confusing how to check in and how to locate cabin/ room signage could be better
Also signs to beach needed
Loved the comfort and the helpfulness of the staff. The location in Northumberland NP is amazing. Breakfast.
Television reception
Breakfast needed to be booked at local pub a good 5 minutes walk from hotel. Garden room well equipped but small and shared entrance. 3 Room service calls went un-answered… Car park at main hotel chaotic parking no management very difficult to navigate with any large car…
Situated in a quiet peaceful location, very close to the sea. In addition the Joiners Arms public house was very good.
Nothing
I’d seen the garden rooms advertised everytime we visited this part of Northumberland and was desperate to stay but they were always over budget. We managed to get a last minute deal for a small garden room with breakfast at the joiners arms included.
Staff at the hotel were really welcoming and gave us clear instructions of how to get to the room and the venue for breakfast.
The space around the garden rooms is super pretty with wildflowers around the paths. It’s so serene and really well done.
It was everything I was hoping for and the room was wonderful. Beautifully presented, clean and spacious enough for the two of us, with a lovely little outdoor space with a chiminea.
The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom and shower was great - lovely toiletries.
The food at the joiners arms is fabulous. We booked for dinner the night we arrived and it did not disappoint. The fish sharing platter is well worth trying, the beers on tap were on point and the staff are great. Cannot fault the stay at all.
There was nothing we didn’t like. We would have liked some additional hooks though.
Lovely, beautifully decorated throughout.
Nothing
Lovely location in an outstanding landscaped setting
Nothing
Lovely setting very clean
Garden room severely lacking in power points USB sockets would be handy, to be fair setting was fantastic attention to detail for weddings was exceptional, staff were very polite and extremely helpful, lighting in garden rooms was a tad dim, unless that intentional. My room was upgraded but sadly didn't include use of hot tub.
All in all a very expensive overnight stay.
Super location just a short walk from 2 wonderful beaches
Comfortable bed in garden room
We booked 3 nights at Newton Hall believing that we would experience all the facilities of a 5 star accommodation. However there were 3 consecutive weddings on each of our days and when we tried to explore the hotel we were told it was ‘exclusively’ for wedding guests. We feel that we should have been informed of this when booking.
Beautiful hall and location, nice welcoming staff and great breakfast
Although it was a wedding, the hotel was not really prepared. When we arrived really late all windows were open and the heating was not on (it was cold despite being June 😂). One window couldn’t be closed without someone climbing up. Morning after the wedding they started cleaning up super early and you could hear everything. Sleeping impossibly. For the money they are charging that should not happen. Drinks at the bar are ridiculously expensive
Newton Hall is located in quiet , rural surroundings. We stayed in one of the garden rooms , which are separate from the main Hall and furnished to a very high standard. Breakfast was provided at The Joiners Arms , a five minute walk away. We also had dinner there. The staff at the Arms were very friendly and the food was very good.
Garden room was very spacious and the grounds were cleverly laid out to provide some privacy. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. We had it in the hall rather than the Joiner's Arms but we ate at the pub all three nights of our stay and were happy with every meal. Lovely quiet location, well placed for getting to attractions in the area. The hall itself is beautiful and could see why it would be popular for weddings.
Dimmer switch in room was broken so turned all the way down but not completely off. No aircon but large sliding window helped airflow.
