- nice rooms, clean and comfy
- pub nearby with good quality/price options for breakfast and lunch/dinner
- after the booking process I don't like they keep sending links to collect my data and credit card outside Booking.com. there have been a lot of data breaches with booking.com and I didn't feel safe.

Only dislike was the bedroom windows don’t open so very stuffy even with air con

Locked out of the hotel by roadworks twice, all approaches blocked ended up driving on the kerb, no warning given
Reception were helpful and room was clean
Pillows were not the most comfy, plus the fire alarm was flashing at night above the bed.

We had such a lovely stay at this hotel and really enjoyed every moment of it! 😊 The room was beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. 🛏️✨
What really made our experience special was the staff. ❤️ Everyone was so friendly, kind, and welcoming, always happy to help and making sure we had everything we needed. The waiters at the restaurant were especially lovely and made us feel very well looked after. 🙌😊
The food was delicious 🍽️😋, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Everything was great, and the atmosphere was warm and relaxing. 🥰
It’s not always easy to find a place where you feel genuinely welcome, but this hotel definitely gave us that feeling. ❤️ We left with lovely memories and would happily come back again! 🏨✨

Close to the city, but not to close. Simple bus ride from outside the hotel to centre of Edinburgh

It’s ok, nothing special.
Property is ok, a bit far from the city center. We had a funky smell. The receptionist wasn’t very nice.
It’s quick to get between Edinburgh and the Melville Inn outside of rush hour. There are a few retail outlets in the locality which we are yet to explore.
