Perfect for a solo traveller
Pros:

Booked because I just needed a bed in transit. It was a lovely surprise. Clean, well maintained and staff were friendly and accommodating. Basic room but perfect for waht I wanted, and they had the room heated for me on arrival which was really appreciated in winter.

Pros:

Shared bathroom was fine. Water in showers was hot. Bed good.

Cons:

I stayed 2 nights. The literature says that for stays over 1 night the room would be serviced. Not so. No new towels,tea, coffee etc and bed was unmade.

Did get tired of climbing 3 sets of stairs but knew that was the case before booked.

An enjoyable experience that was as expected.
Pros:

Very clean property with a wonderful ambience. Comfortable accommodation with impeccable shared bathroom facilities.
Dining experience was welcoming and of a high standard.
Have stayed here before and will stay again.

Excellent, comfortable, quality, budget friendly!!
Pros:

Loved everything at this property. Being an older hotel above a pub, my expectations weren’t high. The shared bathrooms and bedrooms are so clean. The bed was very comfortable and well appointed. The power board was an unexpected surprise. I have more than one device for charging and it was nice to not have to worry about switching them over during the night. The staff were all friendly and professional. Bathrooms are nice and modern, disinfectant spray for using if needed. All the little things have been thought of. Also very convenient to public transport. The restaurant had quality meals and drinks on offer. The prices of meals and drinks are above average after 6pm,but the low price of quality rooms made it a very reasonable place to stay.

Nice country town pub.
Pros:

Nice older style pub. A little walk to the centre of town. Room a good size, nicely decorated and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant downstairs and it was lovely food - a bit different than your standard pub food.

Cons:

Up stairs and no lift so we had to carry our stuff upstairs. Parking on the street.
