Lovely staff and beautiful tents.

Wir hatten im Februar eine perfekte Erfahrung hier. Ein absolut unglaublicher Ort. Keine anderen Camps in der Nähe, sodass man sich wirklich privat und ungestört fühlt. Die Musik und das Lagerfeuer am Abend, der Sonnenaufgang und die Unterkunft – alles war perfekt. Mit etwas besserem Essen könnte dieser Ort problemlos von einer 4-Sterne- zu einer 5-Sterne-Unterkunft werden. Sehr zu empfehlen! Es ist magisch hier! Außerdem gab es hier einen der besten Minztee-Services, die wir in Marokko erlebt haben.

The best option
Pros:

This was exactly what we were looking for. Everything is optional, camel rides, 4x4 tours, quads. only if you are interested. We had booked two other camps before this one, but both told us we had to pay extra for transport to the camp, and in the end it was more expensive than the reservation price on Booking.com. This was our last option, and if it hadn’t been what we were looking for, we would have just stayed in a hotel and left disappointed with the desert experience.

When we booked at Dihya Camp, our first question was: “Do we have to pay anything extra?” They replied: “No, activities are only if you are interested.” We told them we simply wanted to relax, and they said that was perfectly fine. Dinner and breakfast were included, and the camp was accessible by any type of car, with only about 3 km of off-road track, which was totally manageable.

The tents were very well equipped with AC, a hair dryer, and power outlets. The food was fantastic, and the staff were attentive, friendly, and always helpful.

On our way to the camp, we met a man who stopped us and asked if we needed help. We told him everything was fine and that we already had a reservation. He then asked which camp we had booked. We were surprised, but he explained that many listings on Booking.com are fake camps: they advertise cheap prices online, but once you book, they tell you that you cannot reach the camp unless you pay extra for transport. We showed him our reservation, and he immediately told us we were safe. He even knew the owner of Dihya Camp.

There is no alcohol available for purchase on-site, so we brought our own wine. As expected in a natural desert environment, there are also small desert mice around the area.

Ik zou dit kamp zeker aanraden
Pros:

Prachtige plek. Zeer comfortabele, ruime tenten die schoon en netjes zijn en volledig uitgerust. Goede badkamerfaciliteiten en zelfs een föhn. Het eten is heerlijk en meer dan voldoende. De plek is ’s avonds prachtig verlicht.

Vanaf het kamp loop je zo de Sahara-duinen in voor geweldige uitzichten. Een groot pluspunt is dat quads en buggy’s in deze duinen niet zijn toegestaan, waardoor de sfeer rustig en ontspannen blijft. Als je toch een rit met een quad of buggy wilt maken, kunnen zij dit voor je regelen inclusief ophalen en terugbrengen naar het quadgebied. Er zijn ook sandboards beschikbaar om van de duinen af te glijden.

Er zijn verschillende plekken om te ontspannen, zowel ’s avonds als overdag in de schaduw. Perfect voor een relaxte ervaring.

Het personeel is zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Ik had een klein incidentje (eigen pech), maar zij waren erg attent. Ze delen graag hun ervaringen over de Marokkaanse cultuur en het eten. ’s Avonds is er een kampvuur met muziek en dans. De zonsopgang vanaf de duinen is prachtig en rustgevend. Een traditionele djellaba is beschikbaar voor de kou.

Ik zou dit kamp zeker aanraden.

Excelente campamento 100%
Pros:

Una experiencia inolvidable en el desierto. Pasamos una noche increíble en este campamento en Merzouga y todo fue perfecto. El personal es extremadamente amable y atento, siempre pendientes de que no nos faltara nada.
Las jaimas son muy cómodas, limpias y bien equipadas, lo que hace que la estancia en el desierto sea muy confortable. La cena fue deliciosa y el ambiente por la noche, con música tradicional bajo las estrellas, simplemente mágico.
Destacar especialmente la hospitalidad del equipo, que hizo que nos sintiéramos como en casa en todo momento.
Sin duda, lo recomendamos totalmente. Una experiencia auténtica y muy bien organizada que merece la pena vivir.
