Nothing
Great location. Everything close at hand.
There was a bad drains smell on the bathroom. Never went away.
Generally all aspects were good
It was generally good
Very clean
No staff around early for breakfast.
Hotel very central - staff really nice - room was great
It was a bit noisy on the night but the staff did warn us it would be as busy day due to races being on so supplied ear plugs
central
said there was parking but could not park up as cars still there from the night befores stay
The room was comfortable. The noise from Friday evening/Saturday evening DJ activity was less than anticipated. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Upstairs it's a bit of a rabbit warren, which is fine, but our nearest fire exit ( a door at the bottom of the stairs leading into one of the downstairs rooms adjoining the bar) did not open from the inside. I'm not sure why you would not make this possible, and it would feel a lot safer.
Modern,clean,nice finishing touches
From several hundreds of trips both for business and leisure I can say that the welcome we had at Kings Head was exceptional, and I don’t say that lightly, I truly was.
Lucy was the person who greeted us, checked us in, advised us on parking and about the local area. She is a credit to the business. I’m a big believer in first impressions and she nailed that.
The room, Forkbeard, was spacious, super clean, comfortable and had Yorkshire Tea, something anyone should appreciate.
The bathroom was also very good, great spacious shower, good pressure and the presentation of the bathroom was very nice, right down to the quality of the towels.
Pub had a good vibe and a super beer garden area at the back with plenty of seating.
Breakfast was good, again highlighting the service from the guy taking our order, friendly and
efficient.
I have no hesitation in recommending Kings Head.
Thank you,
Jason & Vicky
The rooms are lovely and very comfortable. The location is excellent right in the centre of town. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
