Great location. Lovely old building. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Great value for money.
Interior decoration needs some attention.
Nice breakfast, good location, interesting history
It wasn't very clean. There was no evening meal or cooked breakfast available one day. My room wasn't serviced, so I had to go and ask for milk, teabags and a shower mat. The shower was really hard to turn on, a really stiff valve, I almost couldn't do it. No plug in the sink, and a mere trickle of hot water in the tap there.
The whole place could really do with a major makeover.
Central location, easy walk to jubilee pool, harbour and shops. Historic building with character and interesting history. Basic cooked and continental breakfast provided. Parking on-site, but very limited
Being a historic building there are limitations. No lift, wonky stairs, stale smell, no aircon, very limited parking.
Loved the preserved historical details there eg about Lord Nelson.

The smell in 26 was awful so I asked to move and they gave me a better room.
The property is situated in a great spot
Booked in for two nights moved to another hotel the shower was covered in mould and the carpets on landing and entrance hall is filthy the toilet didn't flush without numerous attempts tv didn't work the decor is aged which is absolutely fine however the cleanliness is a major concern even if they are saying they are under refurbishment reception was often without staff which meant you had to go throw to bar and speak to staff had a conversation with a couple who had complained I just decided not to stay
Great central location with free covered parking. Friendly staff. Large clean room with a comfortable bed. Not too noisy. Quirky decor.
Bathroom was a bit sparse, no hooks, no loo roll holder and no shelf in the shower. Breakfast was average with cheap instant coffee a bit disappointing

Good location, simple commute to other towns/cities in Cornwall by bus and train.

Comfortable beds
Very noisy, we stayed in the Family room on a Monday night, with a front/street facing window and the pub/bar of the hotel was lively with lots of people loud in the street when leaving etc, which was surprising for a Monday night!
Dated/shabby in places, with simple things that could be improved, such as mini fridge placed directly on carpet which affects opening the door, with kettle/tea making facilities on top which felt precarious, especially in a family room.

The smell in the room and corridor. Grubby marks on curtains. Dirty stair carpets. Broken bathroom fan. Lack of tv.
